Mario: "As soon as I had the chance, I came running [to Milan]. I've had a bad start to the season but I'll do better in this shirt. I wanted to come here [Milan] for a long time. I hope to pay back the affection of the fans."

Am I the only one who finds aspects of these comments c*ntish?

Tbf some players who came was a matter of money ex (Adebayor 3 or 4 times) just look how someone like Zabaleta gives 100% every time even when he is not playing good.

See what Dortmund saying if Dzeko wants to go there, he must take a pay cut

But now it is obvious that it is changing now only players who are happy ( more the professional aspect) to play in City shirt

As long as he does'nt slag us or the city off, I don't care.
TBF he hasn't said anything like that yet - he is looking forward - damn sight more maturity than he's shown for a while. I loved him - daft as a brush - lets move on.

I think perhaps we(english fans) need to change our attitudes.

We seem more happy of players who run around like headless chickens giving goal kicks and throw-ins away ala Dickov.

This general attitude towards "endeavour" over skill endemic in our country is probably a major reason why we aren't developing our(England) own players.

Take your point but Mario exhibited neither attribute on anything like a consistent basis.

I liked him when he first arrived and appreciate all that he has done for the club including the memorable pass to Aguero for "the goal" but recently he has been off and is way more negative than positive so I'm glad he is going back to where he is comfortable and make way for another class striker

Its got nothing to do with the fans.

The major reason that we (English) aren't developing English players is because the general coaching available through schools, and the local football setup, is either shit or non existant, with many teams coached by well leaning dads, and the clubs, large and small, are only interested in developing future cash income, and not footballers.

Even the kids that get into academy or youth teams are brought up to win at all costs, and not developed into good footballers first, and its why our leagues are full of foreign imports on silly wages. Then those few that do become good, and move onto the bigger clubs, come at a ridiculous premium compared to similar ability foreign players.

Not that this has anything to do with Mario leaving City.

think the time is right to offload Mad Mario, overall I think I will miss him but only in the way we all loved the eccentricities. We certainly won't miss the disinterested way he all to often turned out. I just wish that we werent selling him to them. I despise AC, I consider them very much the Rags of Italy, the gloating over Robinho and Ibrahimovic, the Kaka saga, the fact theyre run by European politics biggest crook, theyre a cancer of a club, but they are Balo's team, and I know I'd jump at the chance to play football for the team I love. Good luck Balo, just wished Juve had outbid AC.

Doesn't surprise me. I think he was in Italy inside in last 2,5 years.

I don't think he has a problem with City so much... but the entire premier league were absolute ***** towards him. Think of the shit he had to put up with from the media.

It wouldn't surprise me if he wanted out of England from the minute he arrived.

I understand your point, but then I see a player like Suarez, who is vilified, if not more, than Balotelli. Yet that has not stopped him from scoring or doing his talking on the pitch.
Many City fans would have ignored his eccentricities if Balo had put his head down and did his best during a game. The fact that Mancini said he was not training properly, combined with his latest statement that he wanted to move to Milan for a long time, means that he just gave up..

I'm sad to see Balo leave without realizing his potential for City, but also mainly because Mancini is sad at being forced to let him go..

Think its the right deal for him and us at this moment in time.

I will be happy, and surprised, if he does'nt now try and justify his recent lack of success (I'm being kind) by blaming someone/everyone at City and bad-mouthing the club.
Hope he shows some class. We'll see.

Yeah, I'm sure Mancini wouldn't sell him. But a lot of things have a changed and he's a coach now but not a manager.

I think he'll try harder at Milan and that along the slower pace he'll score bucket loads. Agree with a previous comment that he'll likely blame someone/everyone at City for poor form - hope not.

Just like when he plays for Italy he will try 100% for AC Milan as it's the club he supports. I don't really think anyone can honestly say Mario gave us 100% in any game he played and he certainly never took to life in England especially the press side of it....

What unmitigated twaddle.
