Goodbye Martin.

He's a dangerous player that's for sure and for what he cost he's been a good signing. He is quite one dimensional and quite injury prone. He's knocking on and i can't see him getting loads of games next year. If he goes, good luck to him. I've enjoyed watching him and i believe he'd be a cracking signing for anyone outside the top 5/6 in the league.

Still don't rate him this season, don't see what all the fuss is about, lazy, mard, shit attitude, nothing more.

people say he isn't a right winger and i agree, but when he's played on the left he's been no better,

Been saying it for a couple of months now, i don't think he's done anything to deserve to be in this team and i wonder why he's started some Premier league games,

if he goes it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Don't get some of you,I really don't.

Think back to when Petrov came in.We'd just watched the biggest shower of shite ever under Pearce-we hadn't scored at home for 11 games.
Then all of a sudden we had our best winger and crosser of a ball since Barnes,he scored some terrific goals-yes he's a shithouse in the tackle but so are many other far better players.
I don't remember the likes of Henry, Ronaldhino or tranny getting stuck in very often but they seem to be appreciated for what they do going forward...... ho hum......

Petrov got a bad injury last season then fucked up by his national manager through no fault of his own,but until the return of SWP and the purchase of Bellamy was still our only main outlet down the flanks.
He more often than not delivered when asked and has scored some crucial goals this season-none more so than the one against Scunthorpe that set us on our way.I still say he's one of the best wingers in the PL on his day-and before anyone says "yeh but his day aint that often" I would remind them that Lennon,SWP etc. get accused of exactly the same thing.
I also know who I'd back to score 9 times out of 10 in a one-on-one with the keeper-and it wouldn't be Lennon or SWP.

He's (understandably) lost a bit of pace but he's still deadly on his left foot and would surely have worried the rags for 20 minutes down the wing last week...

He probably won't be a first choice for much longer but I think he deserves a little more respect for what he's brought to the team since we signed him for a stupidly low fee of £4.7 million....less than Everton paid for a 32 year old Sylvain Distin.

very good post

The best player Sven signed by a long way, attacking players shouldn't be tracking back tackling anyway, our best manager ever said the same to our very own Colin Bell. Petrov has always been a threat going forward and his low pacey crosses are a real handful for the opposition, he's regularly come up with goals too. I've seen him use his right peg, I've seen him running back to help out a full back and I've also seen him smile on the pitch. Some on here just haven't got a clue!

Apolagies for criticising him Bluemoon Opinion Police. Like, Immaculate Pasta, I now see that opinions are no longer allowed on players and that you cannot criticise them when you feel they deserve it. I shall now immediately change my view to him being as good as Messi and Christiano Ronaldo to gain your approval. Better?
wow how times have changed i had a right slagging off from you for saying the same thing about petrov 15 games or so into his first season you layed into me big time.pot kettle black
