Gotze - signed for Bayern

32m for possibly the 'next messi', bargain.

Exactly. Surely Dortmund would put some pressure on the player to move abroad and not to their biggest rival if an other team had bid.

Official BVB statement:
His manager informed us some days ago that he will activate that clause. We are deeply disappointed.

And further on in interviews BVB managers said: No official of FC Bayern has ever contacted us in that case.
And: its their strategy of success for years, that includes weakening their rivals.

You see it´s the way Bayern doing business, not much chance for BVB to put pressure on the player

Gotze, Reus, Gundogen and Lewandowski are all big targets for big clubs and rightly so as they are all young and fucking class. Gotze is the first to go, if we can land atleast one of the others il be proper buzzin with that. Im not even arsed which one as they will all improve our squad.

Too similar to Silva n Nasri for us to have bought him.

Too much blubbing on behalf of Dortmund here. Why shouldn't he go to Bayern ?

Maybe he supported em as a kid. Maybe he buys into all the Guardiola hype and wants to be schooled by the Spanish maestro. Maybe he sees that Dortmund are selling every fucker else and wants to get out while the going's good. Maybe he sees that Dortmund are a busted flush.

Setting aside their unbelievable hypocrisy in the media what's wrong with what Bayern do ?

This summer I'd love it if we signed one or all of Bale (Spurs), Wilshere (Arsenal), Suarez (Liverpool), Hazard (Chelsea), Rooney (United) especially if it put us 20 points clear domestically and in the CL semi this time next year.

This same argument occurred last summer. How do you know we didn't?

This Bayern deal has flown under the radar until now and for all we know Txiki has met with Gotze and his agent but he turned us down as he would rather stay in Germany and play for Bayern and Guardiola. Gotze isn't going to come out and say BTW I rejected Madrid and City.

I don't believe for one second that we didn't approach him. We will be approaching players all summer. The only time the media will know about it is when the deal is done and like this one it is announced properly.
If player X turns us down and goes elsewhere we will never know about it yet people on here think we just sat there with the rest of Europe and let Bayern have a free run at him.

Wouldn't count on it.

They wouldn't miss a chance at a 'player rejects moneybags City and playing for peanuts at other club story'

Shit and deliberate timing considering the Champions League semis too. **** of a club. Hoped Dortmund would win it anyway but now even more so.

Was Gotze not an academy product too?

Think it may also have something to do with Bayern lending Dortmund money awhile back. Must have been an agreement on first option of players.

First XI

Lahm Dante Badstuber Alaba

Schweinsteiger Martinez

Robben Gotze Ribery

Mandzukic

Second XI

Just shows how far away from winning the Champions League we are.
