It had everything that game. 1-0 up and on our way to the title. Red card. 2-1 down. Rags winning. And then that ending.

As City fans we were on tenterhooks from the first minute until the very last 93:20 to be precise.... and even then I was thinking something was bound to happen.

If you cannot say that was a fabulous game (in hindsight) from a City perspective then I don't know what you're after I know with absolute certainty that I will never ever witness such an exhilarating again in my lifetime.

Sadly that has somewhat dampened my enthusiasm for football. It's a bit like sex, once you've had the greatest thrill and experience ever whilst its still good afterwards, everything else is a bit mehhh...

Shout out for Boxing Day, 2013. I don't think I have ever, ever been so tense throughout a match. I was in the East Stand, at half-time, I turned to the bloke next to me and said "Couldn't they just blow the whistle for full time now?”. Another one against the dippers. Say what you like about their supporters (some of them)… they have been worthy opponents over these last ten years. We've barred their way to three titles that they would certainly have won.

That's the one that jumped out at me. Obvs would choose a City match cos that's what my brain has stored, apart from maybe one of those glorious European nights at Anfield, but I can't mention them I'd be lynched

Got my tin hat on here, but the 2005 CL Final, was a truly remarkable game. How Milan blew that game with the players they had, I will never know.

I've always thought City 2-1 Liverpool in 2019 was the greatest Premier League match of all time. Both teams played extremely well and I'm certain there's never been a league game played in England with that level of quality and performance across both sides on show.

We had to play at our absolute best to beat them and I remember thinking after the game 'how is anyone else going to beat them if it took that level of performance from ourselves to get the win?'. Turns out no one else did beat them.....but we still won the league! Probably the most intense ever title race as well.

I know this isn't going to win in this thread, as great football games are about more than great football... but I am adamant that the first 45 minutes of this game is the closest thing the world has seen to a perfect football performance. There's not a team past or present that would have survived playing against that.

It's worth another watch.

There’s very few matches you can watch the full 90 minutes of on replay, knowing the score and they’re not pretty boring.

Pretty much all the games that have gone down in history as “great” have a great finish.

Totally agree and I also accept all the comments about how poor the City v QPR game was, that said, I could (and still do) watch the 90 minutes of that game and end up with goosebumps and a tear in the eye....
