Guardian: Joe Hart shows signs of frailty against Juve

Saw replays on TV and it didn't look like Kolo got that much of a touch tbh.

True - watched it in slo-mo as wasn't sure that the commentator was right, and it is subtle, but the glance off Kolo takes it about 1-2 feet further to Joe's left and puts more spin on it, so it curves up/down more.

What I feel is harsh is for the press to describe it as a mistake, when it would have been a good save if he'd made it.

If that's Joe's fault, then just about single goal scored each week is because of a keeper error.

Boat shouldn't have afforded him so much space.

I felt that he was flapping all along. I actually thought he was a weak link. He covered all of his shot a bit too late. Both free kicks, one which was really close to his left, it went out but you could see that he was late as well.

The goal even with the deflection was heading in the same direction, I thought a top class goalkeeper would have saved it.

I can't help but say that Shay Given has to get a chance. The reason Joe Hart has been getting clean sheets is because of the amazing protection he so enjoys.
Shay wouldn't of saved that goal last night the skim of toure head made the ball dip at the last second when hart was already committed

Hart has gotten so much good press, so many just falling at his feet almost. England's savior and all. His ego, arrogance and overconfidence has been shown up a bit, but he hasn't made too many mistakes.
But he'll make mistakes, everybody does, the top keepers in the top clubs, they're human and they will make errors, the problem is though that in those other top clubs they don't have such a strong keeper sitting on the bench, and reality is when you look who's sitting on the bench, if there's a consitancy of mistakes, that SHOULD lead to a Hart being dropped, if needed. Sadly though, like Given said earlier in the season, it doesn't matter what he does, he wont get to play, and as it is, Given has probably played his last game in a City shirt, he's had no opportunity to fight for his place, and Mancini isn't doing anything it seems, to try and convince him to stay, seems to me he's holding open the door and pointing him in the direction of the exit.

Different username, same old shit by Irish Macca.

Juve definitely targeted Joe Hart last night, long shots outside the box from the off. To be fair to them it worked top an extent, OK the goal may have took a deflection but he certainly looked more nervous than usual. To be honest I thought the pace and quality of the shots he faced last night were above anything he's faced this season.

TBH we will never know until Mr Given is given a chance to show it.

For the comment about Hart at WHL, I think he did v well no doubt about that, but to be honest there were many instances last year when Given has similar amazing games early on in his season.

There is no doubt that Hart is the future but not until Given can't give his max and I think he still have 2 strong seasons to give.

cant actually believe what im reading here. im i right in saying, hart has conceded 3 goals in all games this season?
one a penalty
one a cock up
and one a deflection?

u guys are crazy, hes played against the likes of gerrard, torres, drogba and anelka already this season, weve played 3 `big` teams this season already and he conceded 0 in those games. u can say the defensehave helped him and yes they have but as of now the defense is unchanged from last season and we conceded 3/4 goals a game on some occassions.
vinny n toure playing so well hasnt happened by magic, they obviously feel confident infront of joe.
Hes young and has many mistakes to make and learn from, lets get behind him cos we are very lucky to have him! trust me

Unbelievably well placed shot and the deflection was just enough to take it away from Hart's finger tips. Incredibly harsh to call it a goal keeping error.

it didn't go passed his finger tips in went under his wrist

should have saved it imho

said last season he was not as good as everyone on this forum made out
