Guardiola rules out any January signings.

3 this summer 2 or 3 the summer after. This summer replace Otamendi ,Sane, Bravo. Summer after Aguero . We'll challenge Liverpool next season. They will drop off we will be back approaching form of lasst 2 years.
Bravo, Fernandinho, Silva alone are out of contract. On top of that Sane, Jesus, Otamendi might go. Will be at least 5. Far from ideal.

We don't have a big rebuilding project and we've not bought badly, I wish people would pack in the fucking hyperbole.

We need a CB to replace Otamendi. That's pretty much it.

We need Laporte back, Mendy to carry on his recovery, Cancelo & Angelino to settle in and start performing.

If Sané goes he'll need replacing, Bravo is going so hell need replacing.

How well or badly we have bought is highly subjective. I would suggest Stones, Mendy & Mahrez represent really poor value for money for example and it's hard to make a call on Cancelo currently.

Mendy was the best left back in Europe and worth his fee before he unfortunately suffered 2 massive injuries.

If you're blaming that on the transfer people then you're beyond hope.

Of course there is an element of bad luck with Mendy as we'll never know how good he could have been for us but the sad fact is he is fucked and nowhere near good enough for our needs.

Stones & Mahrez?

Sorry to but in your conversation but Mahrez and Stones are quality footballers. Both value for money.

Stones is down to fitness. Mahrez has 2 better players in front of him.

there is never any love lost in a cull and this squad needs it, pep has set plans in place already and city have given him a big fund to spend, pep knows the players who are going and the ones who going to get the chop even if they don't like it ? there will be no messing about, 5 or 6 are leaving and the new build will start when the clear out has done

the summer transfer window will be a good watch and city normally get the job done early doors, and even could be a big news on a transfer before this season ends just to give a big lift to the fans and put out a statement of intent to the rest

If you commit to a challenge and it makes slight contact, expect a dive. The better way to think, would be play the ball away from the danger areas. The problem is that the referees these days are a bit whistle-happy.

There have been so few January signings that have really made an impact, and unless Andy Morrison has dropped a few stone, I doubt we need someone mid-season that in all probabilty will disrupt our season. We're doing a fine job of that ourselves. Typical City. Sane and Laporte will be like new signings.
your last sentence demonstrates you are talking through your hole. I think you will find the history of our club is littered with excellent mid season signings. Some short term and others for the long haul. The issue in January is availability as many clubs will not sell. We need a CB so badly that we should pay what ever it takes to get the right man ASAP.

agree a big transfer news would be good the only sticking point on a big signing could be the lengths of Peps contract, would a big signing sign knowing the manage only has that season left.
