I think he is a good lad and a good striker/goalscorer but possibly not at top premiership level. I feel certain that the main reason he will be looking to leave will be to get regular football and not to do with money. I have seen plenty of him since he made his first reserve appearance ( it was an impressive one as well) and he has been unlucky imo not to have made at least the bench on a few more occasions for the 1st team.

I base that opinion on the fact that Jo has got plenty of games and I think John would have been a better option even at 18.

But if Mancini had told him that he will get his chance in the future and hand him the odd 1st team experience instead of nuggets like jo then I'm sure he would have been happy with that.

Mancini either doesn't rate him (fair enough, that's his choice) or hasn't managed him very well.

Btw I'm sure it isn't the case of John wanting to be starting every game, I just think he wants to be involved mire and be given more chances.

Paul Moulden... most goals EVER for his age .then there was that kid who went to Sunderland (the Irish lad) & the kiewi kid think he is in Scotland..
we have had quite a few.. not many of them make it after they leave us.


Whelan at Stoke & the lad at Fulham are the only two i can think of.. in the Premier League (Apart from Sturridge barton ireland but we got a fee for them)

Here you fail mate. Jo isn't average. Jo doesn't look anything near average. Jo aspires to become average.
