Haaland or Mbappé

Would you rather us sign Haaland or Mbappe in summer ?

The only thing that matters is if the striker is technically good enough to fit in the side (Obviously both are, or they wouldn't be real targets) and if they are going to put the ball in the back of the net 45 times a season.

We don't need more assists from our striker. We don't need better passing %. We just need someone to convert chances into goals.

Yes I agree, need to score goals and be technically good enough. But the thread is about whose better. They're similar in terms of goals.

I think we've seen from Pep that he wants more from his players to fit his philosophy. Like our goalkeeping and defenders being playmakers, not just defending.

Passing does matter in our side and has done for a long time. We're number one in Europe for possession for a reason. We've also got the 3rd highest dribbling in the PL, highest of the top teams, for a reason.

Why wouldn't you want you striker to score goals and set more up? Best of both worlds. Being able to be versatile with your game is also a Pep thing, i'e Cancello, KDB playing upfront etc etc.

Yeah theres no doubt he is, he could be amazing for us. But at this moment in time Mbappe just has a far better all round game and he's done a lot more in the game.

I personally think we have a much better chance of getting Haaland. But I'd prefer Mbappe at this stage.

Each to their own though. Most people on here wanted Pogba over KDB many years ago.
 
Correct me if i'm wrong, but Mbappe seems to have a lot of injury problems, which would make sense given he is so fast but not really physical like, for instance, Kyle Walker. Haaland just seems like the guy we need, but Mbappe fits the system better in that he can play across all 3 spots.
 
Not that I think he's attainable or that we would be in for him but Mbappe for me. The side lacks pace, he would give us that in abundance and I feel he and jesus would alternate between playing upfront and from the left very nicely with both bringing different attributes to each position on a game by game basis.

It's all about the team with Pep, and mbappe gives the side more options. Haaland is electric too and seems like the more natural goalscorer which we do lack and on paper might seem the more obvious choice but we all know Pep needs more from his players.
 
Haaland. Don't like Mbappe's attitude and don't think he's even remotely fulfilled his potential or set the world alight at PSG despite having a piss easy league to play in.
 
Haaland. Has everything, pace, power, height, incredible finishing, and most importantly, that weird Ronaldo-esque almost robotic drive to improve. His record in the Champions League is frightening; 16 goals in 12 games.

Our defence plus KDB plus Haaland means success. Look where we are without a proper striker.
 
Mbappe has already said he isnt interested in us (of course he could change his mind)

Haaland - there will be a bidding war when he wants to move -Raiola will make sure of that. and Im not sure that is something that we will get involved in and we have shown in the past we wont go beyond our own evaluations of players.....Chelsea, Rags will both just outbid us if they want him and then there is Madrid and Bayern as well (esp Bayern with how their execs work with their "charm offensives!")

Id love Haaland but I dont expect us to sign either of them
 
The Man Dave Watson said we aren't in for Haaland/he 100% isn't coming. Or something along those lines. He is usually right from what I have gathered over the years. Hopefully this is one he gets wrong.
 
Liverpool believe they can get Mbappe, two magic beans is the price, provided the back door of the soup kitchen is unlocked. But i do not think it is accidental that City have kept two vacancies open, left wing and striker, bit greedy of me but provided we can keep the price of the left back and defensive midfielder down i would go for both, and i think City are looking at that possibility
 
Halaand already has more champions league goals this season than Mbappe has managed in any of his 4 seasons at PSG.
Mbappes national record is average at best too.

I'd rather have Halaand and it's not even close.
 
Mbaapland is better than either.

(If not Mbappppppppe or Haaaaaaaaland.)

He won the world cup and he played in 7 games, scored 4 goals, got 1 assist, he scored in the world cup final and won the award for best young player. Wouldn't say that's average.
