Must have been to the door a dozen times so far. As stony said, at least they've all made an effort and had mums/dads with them.

They can forget it after 8.00pm though. Blinds shut and door unanswered. Time the little bastards were back home and getting ready for bed.

Just got in from the pub. Pointless coming home earlier as couldn't relax with the little beggars at the door. It wouldn't be too bad if it just was the kids from my street but last year had about 25 knocks at the door and it gets tired quickly, especially if you just got in from work. Worse is teenagers who are too old for it and make no effort in dressing up, just pure begging.
Should give them fruit, they won't return in future.
Bought a tub of sweets just in case so probably start munching them soon when downing a beer or 2

Not had any for years, I answered the door once with a felling axe in my hand with the blade covered in raspberry jam, just said, more already. No ones been back. I was going to fire up the chainsaw but the GF gave me a bollocking.

I've no problem with the small kids trick-or-treating. It's the teenage mutant ninja gobshites acting the scrote - because they think Halloween night entitles them to it I hate.
A thugs charter, a friend of mine called it, a few years ago. He wasn't wrong either.
