The moment I think of him I immediately remember his bloodied head.Dave Watson
Agreed. That famous pic of Mackay holding Bremner up by his shirt on his tip toes said it all. He could have eaten Bremner for breakfast. Quite a few of the Leeds team at that time were dirty, snidey bastards. Built in the mould of Don Revie who as a manager would try any trick he could to gain an advantage. TBF to Revie, he was years ahead of his time in that respect and when he got Leeds playing the football they were capable of they were a great team.I don’t agree that Bremner was a hard man.
He was a dirty little coward, IMHO.
Ron "Chopper" Harris, Tommy Smith and our own Mike Doyle and Mike Summerbee.

In those days full backs used to do a hard early tackle to let their usually mard arsed winger what they would get during the next 90 minutes.I don’t agree that Bremner was a hard man.

I remember Buzzer and McCreadie of Chelsea kicking lumps out of each other in a 0-0 draw at Maine Road 1970ish.A certain Michael Summerbee was hard as nails. He didn’t dish it out much but many defenders got broken by trying to twat him. He just ran through their pathetic efforts.
