What has amazed me in this case, and that it's hardly been mentioned, is that the **** was getting a slice of the fee recieved on transfers in the first place!

Portsmouth went bust and if i remember correctly some smaller companies in Portsmouth didn't get paid cos he's taking money that in my opinion belongs to the club. Not surprising he's bought and sold a lot of players if he's got this in his contract all the time. Keane to Liverpool and back seemed dodgy enough (if he was the manager), Bent to Sunderland after he basically forced him to go plus i bet there are others.
Inchy, i read a book by Tom Bower, i think that was his name, about 10 years ago that went into all his dealings whilst at West Ham. He was on a cut of every transfer in and out of the club. Even knowing about this the West Ham board couldn't account for a missing £4 million and he was called to a meeting to discuss this. He never attended the meeting and resigned the next day. Why they never pursued this further is a mystery. He was involved in over 90 deals whilst at West Ham. Image if he was only on 5% of each.

The other thing that gets me is that he has admitted receiving £300,000.00 for the sale of Rio. This was against all rules at the time and was suppossed to lead to a lengthy ban, as per George Graham. So he even admitted it and yet nothing happened. he

And some people don't believe that there's corruption in the game, (not going to mention agendas lol).

There's an agenda?????????

Rich people rarely go to prison. He'll get a fine and/or community service or some inane bollocks.

The opportunities for corruption are so bleedin obvious. Try these:-
1. Manager takes cut from incoming player/agent for share of any upfront fee to player - "I can get you £x from the club, but I want my share"
2. Manager takes cut from departing player/agent - "you are going nowhere son unless I get my share"
3. Manager takes cut from young player/agent on first decent size contract at same club.
4. Manager takes cut bidding club - "if you want my player, I want my share"

And the good news is that you can still do these even if your own club is paying you a percentage on the transfers!

happy days
