It’s quite simple really.You will need to explain why Spurs' football operation is a joke.
I do accept that we lost a Champions League final. What sort of a no-hoper club does that?
No wonder Kane wants to go somewhere where they win Champions League Finals.
Top players like Kane are only interested in one thing and that’s winning trophies. They don’t care about money anymore.
Spurs culture as a club is that of seeking profit above success on the pitch, v much like Arsenal. Making the transition from a financially successful outfit to a winning team capable of trophies requires sustained investment in player recruitment (as we know success is not immediately related to investment) and this means deep pockets and being prepared to take financial risks as well as having the right people in the right places in the club’s management structure.
Spurs simply don’t have this. Their management is simply preoccupied with balancing books and have saddled themselves with a shiny new stadium which has scuppered their chances of investing on the pitch. They will remain a selling club for the foreseeable future.
Simple.
