I just don't understand why he would go there. United are a bigger club but I thought him wanting a move was all about competing for trophies before he is finished in the game. Spurs have as much chance (arguably more) of competing as United do. He would probably be giving up CL football next season too. I suppose he would be getting more money but he hasn't sold this as a financial issue. His interview with Neville was all about wanting to win things. He will be swapping one club that doesn't win things, for another.In talks with United according to a friend who has contacts there. He's lumped on. He called Ten Hag about a month back so might be something in it.
I don't see Spurs letting him go.
