Harry Kane

Spurs fan in peace.
We are a well run club ofcourse financially. I have seen some post here alluding to Spurs going towards financial oblivion interms of debt. Yes, it does look huge. Covid really did hurt us the most in PL given so much dependent on revenues from stadium. But we will fine...as long as there is no further lockdowns.

Our only issue is, no focus given football side in last 3-4 years. But things are quite optimistic this summer with Fabio Paratici, new DoF, already doing some smart deals and Levy taking a step back from making transfer negotiations.

As for as Kane, fan base is extremely disappointed in how he has gone about things, especially given, fans were on his side till May, even if he was leaving us.

As for as any potential transfer - City set the marker themselves. Having paid Grealish 100m, the minimum fair value expected for Spurs will be 160m. Ball is on city court. If they come up with that valuation, deal will happen.
Looks like you will be keeping a very unhappy player then that does not want to be at your club as city will not pay £160m I don't think we will go above £100m as a flat fee maybe a few add ons. So I'd say the ball is more in spurs court it's a massive gamble to keep a player not intrested in playing for you also his value would drop and city wouldn't come calling again imo.

Laporte is a starter for Spain NT, he will have to compete with CL clubs, playing in conference league won't do him favours, he will know himself that if not this summer, then next, he will have offers from La Liga clubs, till then he should stay at City and focus with us. Different for Jesus or Aké, they can both go opposite direction in any Kane deal

Laporte will not consider Spurs. These swap suggestions are made up press crap.

If Kane was happy at Spurs this discussion wouldn’t be taking place. It seems to be the case that Levy is reneging on a gentlemen’s agreement to let Kane go if an offer of £X came through.

City won’t pay £160m for Kane. Just won’t happen.

So unless Spurs agree to accept £100m plus say £30m in add ons, you will be left with a talisman who is being kept at the club against his will and a chairman whose word will be worthless. (No one enters gentlemen’s agreements with someone who has shown himself not to be a gentleman.)

If you’re happy with that state of affairs, cool.

If this transfer doesn't happen then you've got one disgruntled player on your hands. What is the point in keeping hold of a player who doesn't want to be there.Levy has to be realistic on the price & 160 mil is ridiculous.
I doubt City will pay more than 120 mil.

I think we will go to £120m plus add ons.

He's 28. Nobody is going to pay £160m in this financial post pandemic mess for a 28 year old.

Sly Sports News this Morning.

Guy bottom left.

"Are City killing the 'romance of football by signing Grealish and Kane?"

He then waffles on about both players being 'one of their own', etc.

During this Sam Lee looked perplexed and started smirking and smiling.(see picture)

Sam Lee has been told by Spurs sources he knows Levy and Spurs are still adamant they are not selling Kane. Lee said City are still confident of signing Kane. Lee thinks City will eventually get Kane done at some point after the Spurs match.
