Harry Kane

Seriously, Fuck off.
You would cause an argument on your own in a fucking phone box.
I gave an opinion, that's what forums are for. I didn't ask for you to jump all over my opinion.
All I said was what I would prefer, I don't profess to know anything. I just said I wish.

Stop pretending you know everything, you don't.

If I did, it would be because you were on the other end of the phone spouting shite.

I gave up on fantasy football when it was created. Too much like hard work. This is better. Not bad when we can pick and choose who we would like to buy in our side.

Haaland, Kane, Mbappe? I remember being excited one Summer when the soldier from the South Coast, Lee Bradbury siged for Machester City, weeks later he was christened Lee Badbuy.
Badbuy Bradbury, think it was after about 20 mins of his debut that we realised he was useless , never mind weeks ;)

Ex Soldier that couldn't shoot straight.

Kane reminds me too much of the Van Persie deal Fergie did , after City won the league on goals Fergie shat himself thinking City might add Van Persies goals to our already formidable attack , so he threw the works at getting Van Persie to United , so much so he gave the 30 year old , injury ravaged striker an unbelievable 4 year deal on massive wages , he won the league for Utd and gave Fergie the title in his final season. However he then reverted to type and spent the next few years in and out the treatment room on massive wages which no other club could match , Van Persie was a short term deal which became a massive albatross round the rags neck , i fear Kane could become the same for City , a 30 year old with glass ankles and on a contract making him impossible to shift...
I really hope City continue to concentrate on bringing in younger players on the up, like KDB , Sane ,Bernardo and more recently Diaz and Grealish rather than players close to their sell by date such as Van Persie ,Alexis Sanchez , Ibrahimovic ,Falcao and Cavani , all of which , like Kane , have no sell on value and reek of short term planning...
Van Persie had a myriad of different injuries right through out his career, Kane has just had the one, although repeatedly and in both ankles. A fit Kane is no brainer no matter the cost but this isn't a fit Kane, it's a long way from the peak Kane, that was 3 years ago. This Kane doesn't physically dominate and bully defenders like he used to, he doesn't look to go in behind half as much as he did. He was like Shearer in his prime, now he's like a mixture of Lampard and late career Rooney. He will still score 30 goals a season but peak Kane would have scored 50 for this City side.

Another thing to note is it has been repeatedly stated Spurs rushed him back, that was Kane each and every time, chasing records. Fair enough we didn't stop him but will Pep if the player says he's fit? Hard to turn down guaranteed goals if the player says he's fit.

agree 100%, both are good players Kane & haaland, Haaland has been doing the business in the German league, but what's the guarantee that he comes to the prem and hits the ground running? what if it takes him 1-2 seasons to get to grips with the premier league? For me Kane is premiership proven and I think thats what we need. But thats my 2pence worth.
I think there’s merit in debating for either Kane or Haaland. Both have pros and cons.

The people reticent about Kane coming probably would prefer Haaland because of the uncapped potential and youthful excitement.

The people who want Kane can point to Haaland not being proven in the PL and not being the perfect fit for a Pep team.

Either would likely score a bucket load of goals for us. The only other talking point is value for money, which, again, you can debate either way. Especially as we don’t know how much Haaland would have cost next year when taking Raiola and Alfie’s cut into consideration.

Pretty sure he scored a hat trick in a pre-season game (Burnley/Blackpool?) and I was convinced we'd signed a world beater. In hindsight, I got that one a bit wrong.

He was dire, but sadly just one of many terrible signings in that era.

Not true. He scored 2 against Burnley in a pre-season friendly. Thought we'd signed a belter. Unfortunately all downhill after that.
