As I'm sure a large majority didI voted no as I want to sign Haaland, not Kane but I’d rather have Kane than no one. That wasn’t an option.
He does get injured yes, as does every other player, but the difference is at Spurs he’s constantly rushed back, with us he would be properly managed and rotated, and looking at his Premier League appearances and goals I reckon he’s doing alright for someone that’s injury proneYour comparing Kane who does get injured with Ferna who hardly ever gets injured and is the exception rather than the rule.
Ha, think Kane will be a great signing for us mateHis numbers and age make him exciting. He could flop like any other potential signing, but £150m for 10 years sits better than £150m for 4-5.
I’ll get over it when Kane bags his 50th goal of the season, I expect.
We don't have a formidable attack, we need Kane.Kane reminds me too much of the Van Persie deal Fergie did , after City won the league on goals Fergie shat himself thinking City might add Van Persies goals to our already formidable attack , so he threw the works at getting Van Persie to United , so much so he gave the 30 year old , injury ravaged striker an unbelievable 4 year deal on massive wages , he won the league for Utd and gave Fergie the title in his final season. However he then reverted to type and spent the next few years in and out the treatment room on massive wages which no other club could match , Van Persie was a short term deal which became a massive albatross round the rags neck , i fear Kane could become the same for City , a 30 year old with glass ankles and on a contract making him impossible to shift...
I really hope City continue to concentrate on bringing in younger players on the up, like KDB , Sane ,Bernardo and more recently Diaz and Grealish rather than players close to their sell by date such as Van Persie ,Alexis Sanchez , Ibrahimovic ,Falcao and Cavani , all of which , like Kane , have no sell on value and reek of short term planning...

On the one hand, I get it. Kane isn't a superstar like that, he's not a flair player about to announce himself, he's not a signing that will break the internet. Another factor is that for many, he'll never quite feel like a "City player" in the way that Haaland could've done after years. For some, he'll always feel like "Harry from Spurs who came and did well for us", almost like an extra line of code to an already-existing algorithm, than an essential part of the code itself.
On the other, much bigger, hand -give your head a fucking wobble and get hyped about the best striker in the league.
He scores penalties like a psychopath. He's the biggest aerial threat since the Luftwaffe. He's been giving every part of the country trauma by slamming goals past every team in the Premiership for a decade. He's as clinical as a surgeon's knife. He can ping passes across the pitch that KDB would be proud of. He's willing to get back and defend. He's got every chance of ending up as the league's all-time top bagsman, he's wanking over the thought of coming here, and Pep Guardiola has been insistent that he's the right man for two years. I know all the flaws and risks, but I can't help but feel we're becoming a tad entitled as a fanbase for not being hyped up the rafters about this being a possibility.
It’s literally signing Harry Kane in his prime. It's the equivalent of signing Shearer or Lineker in their prime.
It is weird why people are not excited about this.
