Harry Kane

I was gutted, must have been about 16 at the time. He was my hero, waited outside for him pre match only to find out players went underground. I’m sure he “won” the penalty in what felt like a dive at the time. To then watch him step up, score and then slide on his knees yards away from me felt like a massive kick in the teeth. We were also battling near the bottom if I remember rightly so it hurt even more Dickov to take such delight in potentially denting our survival chances. He chose to dive and then celebrate like a mad man, accept the boos afterwards. He got an amazing reception pre match and rightly so. Heard years after his kids asked him to slide on his knees like his Wembley celebration for us, somehow didn’t make it feel any better. Still a legend just a rough day
I was never a fan of Dickov but was a kid at the time.I thought he ran round like fuck and usually gave away stupid free kicks by kicking fullbacks to loud cheers from City fans. I used to think he could have saved his energy for when we had the ball rather than run 60 yards to trip someone.

Obviously he scored that goal but then the next time he was of any interest to me was that pen we got against the scum. I was behind the goal praying he’d snatch the ball to be the hero again with a late equaliser against them. The alternative seemed very predictable with Darius holding the ball. Dark days but character building all the same for many blues.

I thought they were going through the acceptance stage but they still seem to be confused, irritated, struggling to find a meaning, hostile and trying to find a new plan to put in place.

I now know why Arsenal fan`s call them for being all Spursey.
They're going through the jellied eel stage. The think they can stomach it but it's repeating on them like a piece of puke.

As one sensible poster on Spurs Community said, he's gutted to be losing Kane, but if they get £150m for him plus another £50m from other sales & buy 3 x £70m starters with the money, Spurs will be stronger & better for it.

Yes one Kane will make us stronger, but 3 quality additions for Spurs will make them infinitely stronger going forward, & probably allow them to seriously challenge for a top 4 spot within the next two seasons.

If Kane stayed, & Spurs make minimum additions to their squad, I can't see them sustaining a challenge long enough to displace Us, ManUre, Chavs or the Dippers. With 3 quality additions for Spurs, that top four spot isn't assured for anyone imo.
3 quality additions??? 1 of them would have to be to replace Kane (their top scorer & assist maker last season) so good luck with that. That leaves 2 quality additions to raise the quality of last seasons squad to challenge for a top 4 place. Given how Chelsea, United & Liverpool(to a lesser extent but presuming injuries don't cripple them again) have improved then Spurs are going to need another 6 or 7 quality players to challenge for a top 4 place.

We're on a different planet to them even if Kane doesn't happen.
