The message we have heard is that he's available at the right price. I am not sure whether Levy will compromise but I think he'd be foolish not to and presumably that is what is sustaining City's interest. The reality is why would Haaland leave now. If a club is willing to spend £100+ million on him now, they will next summer as well.
Haaland, his agent and family will earn tens of millions more if they hold out until next summer.

These are just truisms and completely meaningless. The oddity in the Haaland transfer is not that haaland is happy to stay at Dortmund for 12 more months but that Dortmund are seemingly happy to take such a big hit on his transfer fee.It wasn’t supposed to.
It also doesn’t change the fact that he won’t be coming here this summer.
