Harry Kane

These are just truisms and completely meaningless. The oddity in the Haaland transfer is not that haaland is happy to stay at Dortmund for 12 more months but that Dortmund are seemingly happy to take such a big hit on his transfer fee.

I am well aware he's not coming here this season. is that supposed to be some kinds of revelation?

Dortmund don’t really have a choice in the matter.

Their whole transfer policy is based on taking the best young talent on the cheap and selling them on for a huge profit. Even if they receive £60 million next summer, they will still make a huge profit on him and enhance their reputation as the go to club for young stars.

They also have the added bonus of keeping his services for another season.

Why would they risk alienating Haaland by trying to force him out?

Exactly sale this year and maybe miss out on champions league and that money if they don’t replace him

You mean like we’ve been telling every journo all summer …
Or do you want an official club announcement saying “Harry Kane is staying” have you seen that done ever in the history of the sport. You announce new contracts not that a player we value at X amount is not receiving the right bids so he’s not leaving .
Yes, although not about Kane

We agree that Dortmund's transfer strategy would seem to be to make money. To trade up. So please explain how that works with taking a massive hit on the Haaland fee they will receive next season.
