Harry Kane

Ake had a relegation release clause

Dias complete package - Fee+Otamendi was equivalent to his 65M RC

Ferran Torres - Signed a contract in 2016 or 17 I believe which had a release clause for the amount we paid.

Rodri - RC

Might have missed Cancelo in the midst though. So, my bad.

Kayky hasn't even step foot in Manchester and most likely will never.

Carson was a loan and then free signing. Almost no negotiations on the same.

Steffan was also never intended to put his steps on Manchester soil before he turned out good on his loan.

You still get the jist of it. If we are going out to make an important first team signing, we are mostly exclusively paying only release clauses.

And I forgot Jack Grealish too.
Is a little difficult when clubs know or think we have money isn’t it
Ah well why don’t you look at the bigger picture and all the trophies we have accumulated it’s a well run club who know what they are doing and what they can spend
Do you really think they are amateurs it’s called negotiation and business
This will happen to many factors are aligned
It’s probably already been agreed
In answer to your question ... no I don’t think we would’ve done Grealish before a forward if we wasn’t supremely confident

City can worry about the finances later and we all know FFPR violations do not cost them anything but dirty oil money fines, so there is no issue. I, for one, have no faith the money cheaters will ever be properly punished (ie UEFA ban)

*Really sick of hearing this*
Its dirty, cheaters, oil money but they want £150m of it. They are like the rest of um - want us punished for this, that and the other, but not before they have taken a big slice of our ill-gotten gains. They will happily take the money and then stick their signature on the next FFP complaint.

We have Kane who is top-class, very few doubt that, but this idea that £150m+ is the correct fee for him is absolute nonsense. This price is still being based on the one-off transfer of Neymar and the domino effect (Coutinho) from it. This happened 4 years ago, in a pre-COVID era, and only happened because of the buy-out clause in his contract.

What other team is throwing around £100m+ on players now? It just isn't happening. The media narrative on this transfer shouldn't be "City need to stump up £150m+", it should be "Spurs and Levy need to come back into the real world, where a 28 year old, in this COVID environment isn't worth anything like £150m". The chance of this happening is zero though.

I hope we get him but you know what lads, if you don't like the money we spend, stop asking us for stupid amounts of it.

I am reading a report by Paul Hirst, whom, I consider as Tier 0 for Man City, saying that in order to purchase Harry Kane, Man City will have to sell a player first.

This seems to be now Manchester City's first way of telling us that they are tracking back.

As things stand, our last non release clause signing is Riyad Mahrez in summer of 2018.

For our supposed expertise at football operations, that seems like a damning indictment on recruitment.

Why are deals falling down because we cannot pay the extra 15M or so? Ok and if the deals are not going through, where is that money actually going? We still have gaping round holes in the squad being filled up by Guardiola with square pegs.

If the board knew that they needed to sell someone to finance both the deals, why was the Jack Grealish deal prioritised over signing someone like Kane who was the only missing piece in our armor, in terms of offense?

I want to believe that Khaldoon is not just an empty vessel making a lot of noise in his post season reviews but at this moment, 7 windows without a LB, few more without an athletic DM and 5 years since signing a CF reeks to me of the same.
True about Guardiola and the square pegs. I’ve heard Khaldoun wants to replace Kidd with Frank Clark. The vision is a rebirth of his wingless wonders team. A 3-2-2-2-1 formation spearheaded by Shane Long for the knockdowns.

I thought the Grealish transfer was a circus but it had fuck all on this shit show
If u buy Grealish for 100 what makes u think that Kane is coming for 150? That was the mistake imo. According to the Telegraph Levy won‘t sell him anyway.

Right, I'm working at an agents house today who has a player a Tottenham (ben davies), going to see if he knows anything, if he doesnt, then the fat pie eating tight fisted fucker is getting charged double
I used to work for a company who supplied data services and EPOS systems tthe betting industry. They bought a TV supply company called Red Onion and retained the Owner Bob Bowden who then became my gaffer.

Bob sold his house in Whitegates Consett to an Agent, Peter Harrison who eventually went bust amd was implicated in the Panorama sting. I spoke to him a few times as he had telephone calls and post for Bob going to his house. He knew I was a blue amd one day he said:

"I'm working on a deal to sell Nedum to Liverpool, I need a new kitchen"

Part tongue in cheek but he was a right slippery fucker, his greed was his downfall. The house he bought from Bob cost £1.2m back in the late noughties.
