Harry Kane

Levy will take the money, he always does. Spurs is bad financial shape too to boot.

Personally think we should be playing some hardball poker as we hold some strong cards, especially where he seems to have indicated his preferred destinations is us. Low ball & don't pay the sums we would be prepared to buy a Haaland or Mbappe.

Whilst Kane would undoubtedly make the team better in the short term, especially in terms of goals we would be paying top money for an asset which will deteriorate far rapidly than a younger goal machine. As we've witnessed with Sergio, injuries the older you get take far longer to recover from. I can foresee this happening with Kane too.

I would rather we splash the dosh/break the bank which lets be honest will be needed to acquire Kane's services for a striker who is good/promising now & will get even better in a couple of years time. Can't see that happening for Kane who is already prolific now & hit his ceiling in terms of value. Its like buying a stock at its peak only for the inevitable dip in the market.

Spurs need to rebuild and can't make good use of the money on more than one or two players, coupled with servicing the present running costs at the club.

There is chatter United might be willing to offer Martial, Henderson and Lingard, plus £40m, because they can't afford the numbers involved.

Surely that only values the deal for Spurs at £45m, tops!

Spurs are that small-time, they might even take that type of deal.
Sir Tik Tok must be valued at 100m alone

I’m presuming city rate delap. If that’s the case perhaps we see Kane as a shorter team fix, whilst delap learns how to handle the league.
5 year for Kane puts delap at ?23.

I like the idea of Erling, but if he is going to be a bit of a journeyman as suggested by others, then we pick him up after his next move. Surely transfer fees have already hit the ceiling.

If Kane does come, I hope he’s aware that his England slot is under threat from.................. anyone

I fear Levy will feel that £40m + those 3 players is an easier sell to Spurs fans, over a straight £100m that ends up going towards the payments on one of their loans.

That being said, the amount that potentially adds to Spurs wage bill may make it a no-go. I would say Martial and Lingard will be wanting £150k and Henderson £100k pw and that is on the premise that you can get those 3 to agree to the move in the 1st place.

I would like Jesus to stay but I feel like we might have to offer up someone of his level to make this happen.

I was always wanting Haaland but reading about some of his interviews in the press, his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo so much so he eats the same diet as Ronaldo, he also wants to play in every league, so if Haaaland was to sign i dont think he would stay for years at one club. If he wants to play in a variety of leagues.

Where as with Kane im coming around to it, Kane is 28 this year but is a prolific finisher and recently a brilliant creator. the goals hes scoring in average tottenham team is impressive now imagine for a moment him in our team with KDB and Gundogan even Foden feeding him in the box, if football was a video game Harry kane in a man city team is a cheat code.

Those united players would have to say yes as well to the swap deal, this isnt Fifa, there are agents involved, wages etc

but then spurs need to pay the wages for them 3 players with very little cash from the kane sale? Plus surely their new manager has to approve any signings before they sign?

This makes more sense than Haaland IMO. As a few have mentioned:

1) He’s proven in this league

2) He’s coming into his prime

3) His age means we can develop, and keep, Delap

4) He seems desperate to come which has always been an important factor under Txiki and definitely Pep

Add to that, the guy will be desperate to win trophies and wants to stay in England. If we’re in for him, he will choose us. No other club can seemingly guarantee success - he only has to look at his old teammate Walker for that.
