Harry Kane

Getting Kane would cripple the club, spending big (biggest ever) money will have ramifications on other needs and it will hurt for years and no not looking forward to watching him walk around on the field.

To give that interview about his own ambitions he wants to fulfill, the conversation he needs to have with his chairman, and his intention, weeks before the season ends while his club are still fighting for top4 and in a cup final, yean nothing egotistical or selfish in that at all. To moan about not winning anything with his club that have worshipped him and built everything around him, when he himself was one of those who bottled their big chances to win trophies, at least three times.

You seem to be confusing his inability to back his ego up, with him not having one.

Absolutely nothing to suggest that though. No more than to suggest we are really in for Kane as many seem to assume.

Long summer, quiet club in how we do business, international tournament a distraction. Doubt anything is off the table or anything firmly on it.

Do you think that is a sure thing to be taken for granted? Same people claimed, with just as much confidence, that Haaland was the priority target and even highly likely done not that long ago. Things change quickly, word changes just as quickly. Maybe Kane IS currently being seriously worked on. Highly doubt they aren't looking at others at thecsame time, nor won't again when they hit a block, which they will, over a massive difference in valuation.

Not a dig at the podcast because I think it's very good but don't they get most of their transfer info from Sam Lee? I know they've had him on as a guest quite a few times anyway. If it has come from him then I would be a bit dubious about how true that is.
 
Heard on the radio this morning that he's now shite. So, what's the going price now?

Better than Aguero ever had? Aguero has had anywhere between 2 and 6 better seasons than Kane's last, depending on whether you count just league or overall or both.

Kane's best ever season is better than Sergio's best, if you really want to make such a comparison. But he hasn't hot anywhere near that again in some 3 or 4 years, which suggests he had peaked.

Numbers aside, Aguero was world class for us and could have walked into any top European team at any point. Kane for me is not, and wouldn't get into teams outside the PL. For me, he would improve us, but really only in the sense we need a striker because our top one has left.

Everyone has an ego. Is he Cristiano Ronaldo levels, no. He has confidence in his ability, is going nowhere quickly and needs to move. I applaud his efforts thus far.

It is not a claim, I am applying some common sense. Every single Haaland rumour has died and Kane rumours have kicked up a notch. Could be all nonsense or legitimately what is happening.

You can believe nothings is or isn't on the table if you want, I believe we have acted very swiftly. We have tried to go for Haaland and its not gone anywhere, so we have moved on.
 
Quite obvious he doesn't want to get injured and has other things in his mind. As soon as he's home he'll be paraded in a City shirt. Whether that's the kind of attitude we want from a player I don't know.

So he doesn’t value playing for England as Captain…. Can’t see it tbh. I just think at a higher level he goes missing. He’s the captain and should lead by example.
