Our laboured counter attacks are because of Peps tactics. He wants complete control of the football. We’ve seen it so many times this season when the counter attack is on, only for the player on the ball to slow down and pass it back. It lets everyone get back in to position and the machine starts again.

He's risk averse. Nothing wrong with that as long as you've got got control of the game, or a plan to get back on track when it goes tits up.

That was the issue for me on Saturday... Once we got to 2-2 we should have shut up shop. That was the time for Pep to give firm instruction not to give the ball away. If he did, no-one seemed to have listened.

I wouldn't blame him. If we don't get Haaland (and I don't think we will), Kane is by far the best option.

As I see it, Liam Delap would learn a lot more about the game from playing/training with Kane than he would from Haaland.

Which is by no means certain. We know that Harry Kane genuinely wants to play under Pep at City I don't know if we could say the same about Erling Haaland.
Haaland will follow the money and sign for the biggest contract. Don't be surprised if he rolls up at the swamp next season.

I agree but I think Liam Delap would learn more by actually playing in the team. There's is no replacement for experience.
