He's risk averse. Nothing wrong with that as long as you've got got control of the game, or a plan to get back on track when it goes tits up.Our laboured counter attacks are because of Peps tactics. He wants complete control of the football. We’ve seen it so many times this season when the counter attack is on, only for the player on the ball to slow down and pass it back. It lets everyone get back in to position and the machine starts again.
That was the issue for me on Saturday... Once we got to 2-2 we should have shut up shop. That was the time for Pep to give firm instruction not to give the ball away. If he did, no-one seemed to have listened.
