Players get berated for lack of loyalty and caring more about money and cars, one club men are rare these days. I also resent this absolute "he has to win x or he's failed". It's something that's come from social media in football and it gets on my tits. Pep has to win the Champions League or he's a failure, Messi has to win the World Cup to be considered the greatest, etc. No. Football is a game of fine margins and there's only so many trophies going around which a single team can win. Shearer only won the title with Blackburn on the last day thanks to United slipping up away at West Ham. If that didn't happen, would he be a failure? Kane could end up beating Shearer's record, to imply he's a failure is just crazy.
Where did i say he would be a failure? I said a player of his ability has to win a trophy, that's all.
His career is a success whether he wins a trophy or not, the only person who has mentioned failure is yourself.
