Harry Kane

Quite probably. He had to go out on loans to nurture his early career, which suggests both flexibility and a realistic attitude.

If he comes to us, it’s because he’s attracted to the City proposition, namely proven success, style and Pep at the helm. He’ll still be a big fish but in a bigger pool. It’s a great move, for which he‘ll be happy to make whatever (minor) adjustments are necessary.

I’ve seen no signs of a Billy Big Bollocks mentality. He may be their best known, most highly rated player but I’ve not seen him giving it large.

You make him sound like an Ibrahimovic. Any evidence for that?
He is no Ibra. Reckon Kane is a fairly humble guy, his interviews over the years would support this both for England and Spursy.

I don’t think that’s true? In the interview Kane is talking about the holes on the course like he plays there every week and the two Caddies that obviously work at the course are southerners.

I don’t think the golf course in the Harry Kane interview is up north.
The caddies mean nothing since all southerners move north and spend our entire lives telling everyone how great and much better "home" is.
........sorry got my southerners mixed up with Scousers;)

If true that's interesting. As why would Kane travel up north to conduct an interview for Sky / Sky Bet.

Surely they would've picked a local course to Kane
The lad across the road was at Mere golf club the other day when Pep turned up and guess what interview had just been done there! Neville and Kane, coincidence you decide.
I personally think that you can tell from the bunkers during the interview that it wasn’t filmed at the Mere. You could also tell from the hour long interview in particular that it was a golf course that Kane played on regularly, so it probably was his local course.

No evidence. Perhaps wrong phrase. They do play to him and around him. He is a focal point for all their play. Even as our main striker he won't be a focal point for us. Ironically, I actually believe he has the skill set to be a false 9.

I was in the Haaland first, Kane second camp but the idea of Kane is steadily growing on me.

I was impressed with his interview with rat boy from the bits I watched - seems a genuinely dedicated pro who wants to hit the absolute maximum of what his ability and dedication can achieve. He’s clearly desperate to win trophies and I think his ability and motivation to do this would have a positive impact on the squad.

Ive seen a few comments about ‘will he be able or willing to meet Pep’s requirements?’ - everything points to him being a dedicated, model professional who will do whatever it takes to succeed. Him putting out the information that he wants to leave is probably the most controversial thing he’s ever done!

On the age front he would be starting his first season with us at 28, and starting his fifth season having just turned 32. Even at £120m I think there’s a fair old chance he will still be doing the business at that time and therefore worth the investment. If the club think the deal is a manageable then let’s get it done.

If we add a top top striker like Kane or Haaland to this current squad then it’s just going to be a frightening prospect for any team to face.
