Harry Kane

Well I do actually, because not only would Spurs want like twice our biggest spend so far, Kane would want stupid wages too.

What if he gets injured, or doesn't score in August (which he never used to do) and his appointment causes trouble the amongst the team as he is suddenly the highest earner but not pulling his weight and then everything falls apart....

I just don't fancy to risk that for I say again a 28 year old.

Was going to say similar, the bit he highlights tho is about the 'haters ammunition'.

According to SSN Spurs want a manager that’s nice and cuddly and that’s not Conte.
So reading between the lines - they want a yes man.
it will be someone on the cheap who will be happy with no money to spend and a target of fourth place. Spurs arnt really in the hunt for anything more with their tight fisted Billionaire owner and Levy in charge.

I think there is a very good reason why he is cheaper than Kane :)

You’re judging him from his time at United, he hated it there, says he wanted to leave by the second day! But he’s a better player than that, scores from 1 in 3 shots (same as Kane) even while at United but he never got any decent service there.
Plays well with KDB in the Belgian national side and KDB has apparently suggested that City should get him.
I’m not clamouring for him, because I don’t know how we’d accommodate a player like him in our system, but he’s a goal machine if used correctly and I certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if we got him.
If Pep thinks he can get a tune out of him then then I’d like to see it done.

They are getting nowhere near fourth if they don’t spend any money, even if Kane stays.

I am worried that if we tunnel vision for kane too hard we'll miss out on him AND other great available options. Hopefully we are working on a few different angles, and yes that includes negotiating for lukaku

He’s always done well at average teams, and he’s been great for Inter. Plays with KDB as well. With our service, he’d dominate. Plus it’d be hilarious watching another United player winning elsewhere.

Kane would be great but he’d cost twice as much. Haaland has Bayern written all over him.

If Kane wants to leave and we are the only team he wants to join, he isn't in a position to be demanding stupid wages.

He might be 28 who cares, go look at his stats he's fucking class and about to hit his prime. If we get 5 years out of him and they are similar to how he's played this season he'll be worth every penny.
