No you can’t187 million? ahahah you can buy mbappe with that kinda money. i dont believe it for a second
With only a year left on his contract you can.No you can’t
How does getting someone younger eradicate the risk of not fitting in?Possibly, but it’s impossible to know. Some players are practically finished at 29-30. I understand that he’s a pretty safe bet, but there is a chance that he just doesn’t fit with how the rest of the team wants to play. It would be pretty devastating if he flops and we’re left with a player on enormous wages with very little resale value. We’d be suffering the consequences for years.
I don’t really have a problem with paying those kind of figures for a player that the club feels is likely to push us forwards. However, I’d be a lot more relaxed if we were paying it for someone quite a bit younger.
Rodri ?If a transfer can be imagined with the mind, then it's possible at the blue moon transfer forum.
Player-swap deal. Rodri+Mendy for Grealish. Boom. Done.
Not if he wants to walk on a free to Real Madrid and pocket most of what would have been his transfer fee! With only a year left on his contract you can.
Madness !I really hope that there is no truth to the figures quoted. It would be absolutely crazy to spend such a huge amount on someone about to turn 28.
But £60 million for Mendy will never make sense!!The only way that £160m deal makes sense is if
£60m Mendy is going the other way
To be honest I have no problem with the money. I was chuffed when we spent a fortune on Trevor Francis. Football is showbiz and the top players are as big as Hollywood stars. No one complained when Real Madrid bought their galacticos.£100M transfer, plus £300K/wk for 4yrs is £160M. Beyond that, sponsorships, image rights, etc…
All strikes me as a little ridiculous, but I’d rather the players who play the sport, bring in the fans, and win all the trophies get the money than anyone else. The owners make their money from the increased value of the club, when we win and become an even more attractive commercial property, and the spin-off investments from other activities, like the Arena.
Lucky if we got £6 million for him tbh.The only way that £160m deal makes sense is if
£60m Mendy is going the other way
Needs must if you want to play for the World's Greatest Football Team !Yeah I bet Haaland can't wait to come here and be backup center forward
Hate to break it you mate but we are all in on Kane. Haaland is not on the agenda for this window and people need to accept we are signing the best striker in the league. Enjoy ithopefully smoke for halaand
As opposed to haaland scoring the winning goal in the euros!A penalty against Denmark that he almost fluffed, a brace against Ukraine and one vs Germany?
Not much of a return from 7 games. Drew a blank in 4 of them. I don't think it's a stretch to say he had a poor tournament.
