Totally agree, especially north of 100million, against 3rd rate opposition he should stand out, but in saying that so should all the England team, we do have the great ability to hugely overate our players.

Bizarrely he was just as shit 3 years ago at the the World Cup. I’m a really big fan but for England he looked equally as bad then. Slammed pens in and scored against pub teams during that tournament.

I am one of those who voted no in this pole.

My concern is that in the last world cup I know he got the golden boot , but overall he was very poor. Mostly penalties and a shot that hit his heel that he claimed.

In these euros he has been very poor again.

Can he play at the top level ? He hasnt done so far. We need a striker to take City to the next level. Kane is good, very good premier league player but at the next level ?

If he is injured I dont want a player at City who puts himself above his team mates. Kane gets away with that at spurs and England, playing when not fit . Big fish in a small pond. Thats not the type of player I want at City.

If Kane is injured he shouldn't be playing for England. If he isnt injured than on his performances in top tournaments and finals over the last 4 or 5 years he isnt good enough for City. Unless City are just concerned about winning the league at a canter.

Isn't that just England though? We've had some great players in the last twenty years who just don't do a whole lot at international tournaments.

I don't really know how anyone can doubt his quality at this point. Personally, I'm just concerned about his physicality.

The biggest issue for me is mobility and pace. Kane is deadly when he gets a chance but in many ways he is an old-fashioned striker. I am not sure he would work in a Pep team. He also appears to have no leadership skills. He is Captain but he goes missing for large periods of matches. Kane is nowhere near as good as Haaland who is nowhere near his peak yet.

Lets not also forget international football is no longer the pinnacle of the sport, most premier teams would give England a good hiding, never mind Scotland.
