It's just a rule in place but no one exercises it.

No he wouldn‘t and neither should he.

No club will ever sign a player who used the Webster ruling, that's why it doesn't happen.

Because saving £130m on Kane would be meaningless when suddenly KDB could leave for £75m. Sterling could leave for £25m, Mahrez £20m etc.

It would open pandora's box and change the game forever in a way the clubs don't want it to.

I dunno you have Mbappe and Haland, Mbappe will either sign on again or go to Madrid and Haland will have the choice of 3 English clubs and the possibility of BM. Next season Kane will only have 2 years left and will be cheaper.
