"were to fall far out of contention for major silverware"There is no evidence that Levy has failed to honour this so called gentleman’s agreement, if it even exists.
I can well imagine Levy agreeing to sell Kane in the event that Spurs were to fall far out of contention for major silverware. But it is a cast iron certainty that any sale would have been conditional on another club paying the asking price. And there is no way that Levy would have been so naive as to put a figure on it. The naivety will have been all Kane’s and his amateur hour bro.
Levy is a wind-up merchant. That’s why Spurs lose so many players and no one wants to play or manage for Levy. He and Lewis are selfish twats. They fucked up the Olympic stadium deal and tried to cash in on Furlough.I agree and only Kane and Levy know what was said.
There have been signs that an agreemrnt existed though.
It's been reported that Levy persuaded him to stay last summer and then Kane looked in tears at the last game, when he did a lap of honour. He then made a video basically telling everyone he was leaving, only it seems to have the rug pulled out from under him again.
Kane probably thinks that Levy has gone back on his word and can't be trusted and after all that's happened i can see that he'd be well pissed off!
Yes, I know!"were to fall far out of contention for major silverware"
Don't want to break it to you mate, but your not even in the same Parish as the clubs competing for the major honours.
Flattering to deceive you mean?Yes, I know!
But at the time that Kane signed his six year contract, Spurs very much were regularly in the mix for major silverware.
Otherwise known as being spursy.Flattering to deceive you mean?
So you think the substance of the gentleman’s agreement was that Levy agreed to sell Kane if he received an offer that he felt was good enough for him to want to sell Kane? Seems odd they would even bother to have an agreement on that! There is no evidence that Levy has failed to honour this so called gentleman’s agreement, if it even exists.

What silverware?Yes, I know!

What planet are you living on? Honestly, Spurs are not even close to being a rival of City’s. You’re so far behind the chasing pack. Spurs’s rivals are Wolves, Leeds and Everton, and that’s WITH one of the top 5 no 9’s in world football ffs. The only trophy you’re in contention for is the Europa Conference, which let’s face it would be embarrassing. There is no evidence that Levy has failed to honour this so called gentleman’s agreement, if it even exists.

Levy is essentially putting an unreasonable price on Harry Kane that would either make the buying club go away or if their stupid enough to actually buy him at an inflated price. A potent combination of vindictiveness and greed. So you think the substance of the gentleman’s agreement was that Levy agreed to sell Kane if he received an offer that he felt was good enough for him to want to sell Kane? No, they're shit as well!Do their under 23s have a shot at the EFL trophy?
Kane more than likely signed the contract with the understanding that club match his ambitions and we’re prepared to invest to achieve them. Since then Spurs have fallen out of contention sacked 2 managers and got worse, then hired the failed Wolves manager. Harry knows that it’s his last chance to move to a club that not only matches his ambitions but, is prepared to invest. If there is an agreement, and why would Harry say there is, then Levy should allow him to leave and reinvest the fee in building a stronger squad, just like Villa have Levy is believing his own publicity and with respect to the fee then 160m no chance, no other club is in for him. Personally I’m not bothered if he signs or not Ive wanted Grealish for years so I’m happyYes, I know!

They rolled the loan into a new one, when it expired in March, for another year they are hoping that crowds are back to help pay it back or they will have to increase their debt to over £1B The loan can’t be used to finance transfersIs the 47m theyve just spent come out of the goverment loan?
Fucked up the Olympic stadium deal? Please explain.Le

Umm……..not sure you read my post properly. Where did I claim that Spurs currently are rivalling City? You’re imagining it.What planet are you living on? But Kane has stated or hinted that the asking price is £100m! My suspicion is Levy saw his arse Kane let that out meaning City have bid that, and is now moving the goalposts out of spite. Either way he’s negated on a gentleman’s agreement, granted he can it’s not binding, but it’s a cunts trick.Fucked up the Olympic stadium deal? Please explain.
By the way, Spurs don’t lose many players at all. And those that do leave only leave for clubs

The discussion is about the supposed substance of this gentleman’s agreement. And the claim is that Levy agreed to allow Kane to leave should Spurs not look like competing got honours. I have no problem in conceding that that is now the case.
But that is only one side of the agreement. The other is that another club must pay the asking price. And until that happens, Levy is not honour bound to allow Kane to leave. To which end, contrary to the narrative on here, the only person who appears to be breaking the agreement is Kane.
