Unless Levy gets a crazy cash bid, Kane will stay, I said before , to Spurs he is worth more than 100m. Without him they are a mid table team at best. He stays they finish in the top 8 and the stadium stays reasonably full, Levy is happy.

And also your asset depreciates hugely for a year when he's 27. Kane wants to leave, Levy needs to sell and also needs to buy a replacement. City will know that. We will presumably have told Kane that we will sign him unless the price is stupid, ensuring he doesn't listen to other offers. It might well go to deadline day, in fact it probably will, but a deal will be done.

But, he still has 3 years on his deal, and to be honest, do you think the other players really care?

Kane was happy to sign that contract extension when things were all bright and rosy, loyalty works both ways.
