So by the sounds of it the club isn't actually interested in getting rid of Bernardo, Laporte, or Jesus. It's just they want to go. I assume these three are all players Pep would like to keep if it were up to him.

BUT, it's on them to sort their exits out. The club won't push them. They don't find exits, they stay.


As far as I know nobody with any inside info has yet said the club is the one pushing for the moves, and nobody has corrected me so far when I've made this point elsewhere (subject to change..).

I think with this specific deal we have to see Romano as more of a Spurs mouthpiece than his usual scattergun self. I've heard from a couple of Spurs fans that since their new DoF came in, Romano's had an inside track. I can't tell if they know or if it's putting 2 and 2 together but they seemed assured, and they aren't usually too dumb.


So if he says we're pushing, that means that's the story Spurs want out there.
