Harry Kane

Aside from whether or not he'd even fit in Pep's system, does anyone actually think we would buy him? Spurs would demand an English club pay £150m for him with having four years left on his contract

I think that there is no chance we will go for him, but the times this season when a ball has been whipped in and there is nobody there to tap it in. Kane would score loads in this side.

Moaninho would go absolutely mental if he had to sell him to us.

That would be make this even more sweet.

Not really.

For 100m he can invest in 2 or 3 good players.
He wasn't appointed to win the League or CL, just to be top 4-6 club.

I definitely see the value in tapping him up this season.

Would be hard to pull off and also potentially one season too early, but with one eye on next year when Sergio leaves he is one of a handful of players that can help replicate his goals

Nope. Even £100m value is pushing it. Levy would ask for £150m+ and for that kind of money and Kane's wages would want there are better players out there. I would even take Cavani on a short term basis.

Let's be honest, if we bought him he'd spend months out injured and we'd be guaranteed to whip Spurs up like Everton after we bought Lescott. We'd end up with another bogey team.

Kane is great... at Spurs. I'm absolutely sure Pep will talk him up like he did with slimy Jack Grealish. I've just never been convinced by him, their whole team and game is based around him and we don't play like that.

The Sheikh and Pep will looking at top drawer players in Europe. I'd rather take a punt on a Lewandowski or Dzeko again rather than Kane - these players will be cheaper and FAR better. I do sometimes think for a striker it's good to bring a new one in each season just to stop the opponents getting used to how we play!

A window of Kane, Torres, Koulabily and one of Alaba/Ake would be nice and a good back up to Ederson, maybe Foster?

Zach Steffen is returning from his loan to Fortuna Dusseldorf where by all accounts he did pretty well. 24 years old and up and coming, I reckon he'll fancy at least a season of being our cup keeper and building his rep.

Yes I am assuming that’s the case, although I also heard we were looking at this Brentford lad, who looked ok tonight

Why are we even discussing about Kane here ? Is he available? Has any of our ITK or any newspaper/ tweets saying we are even a bit interested in him ?
Yes he is at the peak of his game (at lest in terms of age). He might have a second thought being too good for tottenham. But still we dont know about that. We are looking for a false 9 or a wiger type attacker that also a fourth option. That means iin reasonable cheap price.

The interest is that spuds have a stadium to pay for, a stadium that was designed to attract American football games and concerts but hasn't been able to get due to Rona . Spuds will probably have to go the Arsenal route and have a shiny new stadium but no team that can play football in it, so step forward one of their own, Sir Harry of Kane who will need to be sacrificed to the great God money so a few mortgage payments can be made off him . Who has money? City there's the interest !

If we buy another striker then it will be in the Jesus type promising talented young foreigner again. We wont be going anywhere near the likes of Kane nor should we.

If Torres is signed and plays in the forward line I would expect that to be it.

Personally i think we need a replacement for David. Phil nor Bernardo both played on the wing most of this year so we’ll be stuck with Gundog otherwise surely

He would be an option for us possibly, but the price likely demanded, he would never be worth it imo.

He has also shown imo he can get back and work the build up but at the expense of structure and only sporadicaly. This was where Kun was at before Pep came in and demanded more. Kun was able to up his game thus showing he is one of the very finest to ever grace tha game.

I feel Kane is limited to much regarding game intelligence thus would not be a target for Pep

I think Kane would score a bucket full of goals for us, however that would likely be at the expense of others scoring the goals they do.
I’ll trust our management to make that decision, for me it’s probably yes

Our transfer record is about 60m. We are not throwing 150m on a new player. Wish common sense trumped wishful thinking.
.

If we are willing to splash huge money, let it be (someone like) Mbappe.
