Reverse psychologyThey’ve apparently already turned down a £100m bid but you think they’ll accept £80m?

There’s still a figure that Levy will want to allow him to leave.True - that's if we've actually done it.
I wouldn't pay £100m for him, I think he is worth it but I don't think there's anyone else who will want to pay it :) A player is only worth what other clubs can pay!
He's going to take over from Messi as the ongoing never going to happen transfer.
Therein lies the problem. He’s got a lot left on that contract so they can play hard ball with Kane if necessary.I'd be tempted to put in an £80m bid and just see if there is anyone else who fancies shelling out that kind of money in the current market. I don't see any foreign clubs being able to come anywhere close to that. I don't see United paying that as they have other positions that need strengthening. Liverpool won't pay it either. I just don't see a big market out there for him, for what Spurs want.
Chelsea might be able to do it, but I suspect they might want to give Tuchel some money to bring in "his" players first.
Spurs won't be able to turn it down without risking having an unhappy player who could just leave for free at the end of his contract.
Yep. After months of hearing figures like £150m attached to a £50m player, I'm ready to believe£80m is an ok deal :-(Reverse psychology
65 mill sounds better to me, levy will come beggingYep. After months of hearing figures like £150m attached to a £50m player, I'm ready to believe£80m is an ok deal :-(
All those arguments are null and void if Spurs need cash quickly. We desperately need a striker. Levy knows this so he has the bargaining power. He'd be happy to keep Kane for his new in coming manager. Can see this being a 120 mill or 100 mill plus player, take it or leave it kind've situation. Personally I'd like us to look elsewhere, I have a bad feeling we've seen the best of Kane.
He certainly can’t negotiate a deal with a new manager.Levy Is probably the hardest chairman to negotiate a deal with and we don't want to be wasting the summer over Kane If he's is holding out for silly money
