Harry Kane

That will not happen. Your captain wants to leave therefore you have to sell him otherwise you will have this nonsense to put up with all season long

What won’t happen?

Plenty of players have wanted to leave their club, been denied the opportunity, and then knuckled down to play to their best the following season. If Kane has to stay at Spurs, I have no doubt that he will do likewise.

Of course Spurs don’t want their players to be unhappy. But they have a right to hold on to Kane if no potential buyers make an offer that even gets close to his value to the club.

Kane was last season’s top goal scorer and assister. He has an incredible goal ratio. He is phenomenally consistent from season to season. He is England’s captain. He is one of the two or three best all round strikers in the world. He will likely become the PL’s top goal scorer of all time. He will likely become the all time top England scorer. He is at his peak. He has never relied on pace so, contrary to the common claim, he is unlikely to deteriorate at a comparatively young age. He has three years remaining on his contract. His value to Spurs is far more than it will ever be to City (simply because City will flourish regardless of whether you sign him or not).

So, from Daniel Levy’s perspective, it would make no sense at all to sell Kane this summer for £100m.

Same thing we here from the villa fans on the Grealish thread. Worth more to you than to us. Obviously they are because we are not a one man team. However, fuck Levy. He is not the messiah he's made out to be. In fact, he's such a genius he has taken you almost a billion into debt. You need to sell to improve your team / squad. With Kane in it last year, you managed the dizzy heights of SEVENTH. How do you suggest Sir Daniel manages to raise the necessary cash to even make top four? Visit the money tree?
It's the same scenario as with Bale. You need to sell your biggest asset, being totally reliant on him, and improve other positions and stop being the Harry Kane team and become Tottenham Hotspur.

The games against Luiz were different circumstances. Look at what had happened previously is both games and tell me Luiz was innocent of any wrong doing. Sergio was receiving no protection whatsoever from the referees so had no option but to defend himself. Stop choosing two isolated incidents over a ten year period and trying to create a narrative.
69 yellows and 4 red cards says otherwise m8 ..

He didn't throw him over the boards. The shithouse walked slowly back, eyeing up how far to go and then threw himself over. Personally would have loved Fern to have knocked his teeth down his throat. Unfortunately, that wouldn't have benefitted us in the long term.

yeah that’s was disgusting from cesc, little sly shithouse.

You talk some sense, main thing I’d have issue with it players not being allowed to leave and knuckling down etc, maybe however the theme at Spurs is when your top players want to leave, they do. Bale, Modric, Berbatov, Carrick. I actually can’t think of a time a top spurs player wanted to leave then didn’t.

That is very weak. Rationally Spurs should sell.

You including the yellows he got when being scythed down against Southampton and that European game when the keeper brought him down and booked for diving. Aguero was as honest as any player I've seen in over fifty years
Was that Monaco game ???

that was a clear as pen you’ll see all day.

I’m just using Kun as a example for the people who call Kane a dirty player.

I don’t think either player is a dirty player for the record.

Every argument from Spurs fans focuses on us being desperate and them not needing to sell a player who wants to move, and totally disregards that Spurs need money and this summer is the best time to maximise that asset. You’re wasting your time mate, most football fans are blinkered.

100-120 reinvested in the spurs squad and they would start to look a,better squad imo a good center back a good central mid and a couple of attackers ings and possibly Abraham

Kane is not a dirty player but the backing into a defender whilst off the floor is a shithouse, dangerous tactic. Also, why don't you show the Kane tackle on Sterling at The Etihad a couple of seasons ago. A real leg-breaker. Same game as Dele Alli almost broke De Bruyne's leg. Just for balance of course.

Abraham might be a good shout for them to be honest!? They have Gil coming in, the CB from Atalanta I think for €50m and a Japanese RB coming in for over €20m as well?

Yep! Makes the player bigger than the club which makes Spurs even sadder imo! For the record I think we will do £120m with add ons to £150m and Spurs will report it as £150m straight away.
I don't think City will go that high. Spurs may well end up keeping the player but it will be a hollow victory.

Agreed. I haven't seen him get much right that isn’t a tap in.

But it’s worth noting that all Spurs itks (including those most reliable) are saying the same thing about Kane - he won’t be sold unless Spurs receive a bid nearing £200m.

Of course, it’s very possible that leaks from Spurs about this potential deal are being very tightly controlled and that even the best itks are being fed the desired (but false) message until Spurs can get their transfer business over the line. But at the very least, I would say that there is still some way to go before any agreement is reached. Because, as far as I can tell, City have no intention of paying much more than £100m and Spurs have no intention of accepting any less than £150m.

Fascinating to see how it plays out. My guess is that Charlie Kane’s blabbering won’t be far off the mark. Maybe a deal that will allow both clubs to claim that they got something close to what they wanted - say, £130m plus add-ons which, given the likelihood of success for both City and Kane, will easily reach a total of £160m.
You forgot one significant detail Spurs are struggling financially with the new stadium debt and the affects of covid. You may have no choice but to sell.

They could probably do a deal for Abraham on loan with option to buy. Kane plays every minute he's fit for for them having some different options up top would be good for them.
