Harry Kane

Why are people being talking about "the fee being asked" being too much, when none of us know what it is? All we can reasonably say is that it's north of £100m, which we knew. I'd say the likelihood is that the clubs are ambling to an agreement in the details around £130m+add-ons, which Levy will claim as £150m.

There is no indication that he is "available at a price". All indications are that he stays at Dortmund. The rest of the post is thus irrelevant - akin to arguing who would win an India vs Pakistan cricket match.

That said, on purely theoretical grounds: Haaland had a couple of moments in two legs against us - that's not a material influence. Jude Bellingham was way more of a threat and we're not in for him, let alone at the silly money tags being attached to Haaland.

Dont know what you mean by Kane making us more rigid - he has shown himself to be a versatile playmaker and a goalscorer in a pretty average Spurs side.

The rest is your opinion - and who is better in one-off games is pure speculation. We have little if any evidence as to how Haaland handles major games and zero evidence of how he will adapt to the Premier League.
1 as people have said with Kane..if a price has been quoted he is for sale...prices have been quoted for Haaland.
2. Everyone's posts are theoretical and their opinions. There is no given in ANY transfer:

Fernando Torress to chelsea....was brilliant to a flop
Alexis Sanchez to the rags...brilliant to flop.
Bony to us...scored plenty to absolute disaster of a signing
Owen after he left Liverpool
SWP to Chelsea- never really worked out at all

The list is endless.

The whole rag squad ; )

Not sure why anyone would be bothered anyways, it's not our money, we have never spent anywhere close to that in the past and pep wants him?

But In the past we have needed maybe 3 or 4 players that we would spend £120-150m on and sold very little? This summer we are expected to bring in around £100m on the sales of fringe players and if Bernardo goes at least £50-60m on him as well?

if covid-19 outbreak did not happen how much would kane be ? £200million

spurs need to wake up and smell the coffee because football been hit hard and will take 5 to 10 years to recover
yes manchester city have the money. but if like everybody else that keeps saying we are bad for football ? then also greedy chairman at spurs should be outed because they know we have the money

everybody else are dropping the price for players and know the trouble football is in. but spurs are taking the piss
and if kane really wants the move then why try and break his dream move

kane has given his all for spurs got them to finals and champions league football. but they are short because of the new stadium and the money was not there to take them to the next step. kane needs a top club to win silverware and play champions league football every season

come on spurs give the lad some credit and respect he has earned a top move so why stop him
makes no sense keeping a unhappy player and the money spurs recoup for kane can be spent on a new build that maybe the next levels spurs can reach

Betting odds have a tenuous relation to actual likelihood because they are set in reaction to the money laid.
The bookies don’t care about the outcome other than they want to keep hold of 40% of the money wagered.
Thus, the betting odds are not a true numerical reflection of what’s likely to happen.
Think it's more like 10% or less rather than 40% that they keep, depending on the market.

Which club is going to pay that for Bernardo?

We'll be lucky to get half that amount imo.

This has always been Levy’s mantra, but over the past 10 years he has completely reversed his view on selling best players. Walker is the only example of a first team player being sold in his prime, since Bale in 2013 and by all accounts that was more of a Pochettino decision. He was furious with Kyle letting the club know he wanted to leave during a crucial part of the season with us still in the title race and with an FA Cup semi on the horizon, he was subsequently dropped for all remaining big games that season.
levy’s stance on Kane has always been he’s not for sale, if we were strapped for cash and needed the money so desperately he would of been sold for the 100
Million city offered earlier in the window. I think City test his resolve again a bit later in the window but ultimately won’t go near what levy would even consider around the 160+ range. Personally if I see a city fan I’d be disappointed if the club were to spend that on him with Haaland also out there, and that’s not a knock on Kane, but the option of someone 8 years younger with a higher ceiling surely makes more sense .

Wait, so let me get this straight.

Levy picks the team - aka he was furious and tells the manager to drop Walker for all the big games
Levy picks the signings - even if the manager says he wants to sell player x and buy player y and z - Levy will say no because x is in his prime?

Makes you wonder why he doesn’t take the training sessions as well. No wonder you couldn’t find a manager until you got to page 2 of your “shortlist”

I guess Kane will just carry on with Spurs with no chance of a trophy to show for his efforts something Im sure he will regret later. At least Shearer and Vardi got a title win.

But they are a reflection of what people think is likely to happen, no?
And those people might include some who know, or have a steer?

Yes, that might happen because sometimes people in the know might pile their money on but the bookies don’t care and the odds reflect the betting not the likelihood of the outcome.

I din’t gamble, except directly with friends etc. I can’t see the point in people directing their wages through a third party organisation that, on average, keeps 40% of all the wagers made.
