Harry Kane

I’m that nervous about this final offer we’ve sent that I’m watching West Ham vs Leicester and thinking that I’d take Antonio at this rate...

That 100m we spent on Jack was 60m sales and the sane money. So we still have the sane money and commercial revenue/winner money in the pot. So going by Gary chuckles assessment we should be able to spend 150m on Kane without impunity.

Sly keeping the rag/Scousers audience relevant with these 2 pricks talking absolute bull.

If you think this window has been frustrating, just wait for next summer when everyone is throwing their hat in the ring for Haaland and we're haggling with Levy for a 29 year old Kane again! May be able to get him for 100m then...
I laughed but then reality hit that it’s a very real possibility it pans out that way.

You believe Haaland is on the market?

Not a chance there is any bidding war next summer, all the top clubs have made their offers. Chelsea and seemingly ourselves are out, Barca could have gone under by then so its a straight fight between Bayern and Real. We will know probably January or just before the world cup where hes going.

And equally why should City pay more than we think he is worth. Personally I think £100m can s right, £120m could be acceptable given the “City Tax” and the seller being Levy, anything more I really hope we walk away. The chances of spurs getting too 4 this season is slim as City, chelsea liverpool and united all look miles stronger, so the chances are this time next year spurs will be in a europa league/conference with an even more pissed off asset, moving into his 30th year and worth about £70m. If spurs don’t get top 4 is HK worth that drop in value to them? I doubt it, snd I hope levy chokes on the debt. Is your next game this Thursday in the wotsit cup?

We are already above United in the table after two much tougher games. Yes it's only two games, my point is though that you can never suggest Spurs have no chance of getting top 4. with United having a PE teacher in charge I will always think it is possible (even if unlikely) to finish above them, even if our side on paper looks weaker, especially if we keep Kane which is precisely why we do want to keep him. I will admit the other top 3 look miles better. You seem to be suggesting that Spurs should just sell Kane as we have no hope anyway, there is no logic to that.

Also, you don't have to pay more than you think he is worth, but you know how deals go right? The buyer has to meet the sellers asking price or no deal. If I offered you 75% of the value of your house, what would you do? Can I sit here and moan because you won't sell me the house for what I think it's worth? What would you think of that?

Get what you're saying, but that money would have gone farther had he not waited until the last week of the window. Prices only go up.

There's also something to be said about having a realistic valuation. I can value my used underwear at 1m a pop but can't complain nobody is meeting my valuation when it doesn't sell. I won't pretend to know what Levy's valuation is but if its 150m + add ons as reported he's not getting that, and he knows it, which brings me back to my orignal post.

I don't think we wanted to wait until the last week of the window, but an acceptable offer wasn't made so what can we do?

Sadly you are right… Bar finishing top 4, that bit is fantasy, the rest is spot on though.

Agreed

I think you have been trying to get your ducks in a row in case a deal is made

Not a lot more you can do really
