One final push fc. Fingers crossed
So in essence a "final, final push" is " "imminent"? :-|

Buying an ok player for the sake of it would have been a joke yesThe Danny Ings joke doesn’t feel like much of a joke now does it?
For £25m though? He guarantees maybe only 10 fewer goals than Kane guarantees this season. Are those 10 extra goals worth an extra £125m? In terms of value, Danny Ings in hindsight was an excellent signing. I didn’t see it at the time because I was fixated on Haaland and then Kane. But that value for money, and buying us time to bring Delap through, wouldn’t have been the worst deal in the world. Get the ball to him in the box and he scores, it’s as simple as that!Buying an ok player for the sake of it would have been a joke yes
It never was, hes,a good player who would bag plenty and fit into the work ethic brilliantly in this team. Not to worry though as I'm still very confident Kane will too ;-)The Danny Ings joke doesn’t feel like much of a joke now does it?
I think you mean Pissy Nando’sI dont want Kane, I would rather have the lad from Fiorentina and make him into a star, or that young lad from Juventus
Chrissy Naldo I think.
"Football is not A, B and C. What works last season will not necessarily work this season. What did not work last season, could work now. It is open, it is moving, it is like an animal, it develops. Sometimes it moves this way, sometimes it moves another way."We were 2 games away from a quadruple without a striker. We don't NEED a striker.

That's a quote from Pep Guardiola after a run of 13 wins in a row last season while playing false 9.
One of few low points in a very successful season. Can’t win them allThink back to a key moment last season:
FA Cup semi-final we lacked the quality in our squad to beat Chelsea with a necessarily weakened side.
Not like a paragon of rational logic like yourself to misconstrue a quote and make strawman arguments to belittle the original intent. He should abandon the possession system then and go long ball with a big lad up front, because what works last season might not work next season, etc.
What we know didn't work is this system against Tuchel's Chelsea but there was no other option but to carry on playing it. We have seen this over the years losing to some teams 2/3 times the same season. It happened with Wolves a few years back, Liverpool, Spurs, and most recently Chelsea which ultimately cost us the CL. We need a plan B and when you have a weak position (in our case a striker now, previous years a CB) it is a problem. We lost to Tuchel's Chelsea last season, in the same manner, each time."Football is not A, B and C. What works last season will not necessarily work this season. What did not work last season, could work now. It is open, it is moving, it is like an animal, it develops. Sometimes it moves this way, sometimes it moves another way."

I was replying to someone who implied that if City do not get a forward we are fucked.city lucky to get top 10? Are you in the wind up?
You're bang on here regarding Ings ability to put the ball in the net. I would have loved to have signed him as an option and still gone for Kane as first choice. I genuinely thought most City fans felt he'd be a good signing, didn't know there was a pushback against it.
It’s done AP McCoy and a couple of race horses said soMaybe they don't want replacements and need to bank the cash?
