Come off it you lot. Why can't we part with Shay on good terms?

Fact: Shay Given is large part of the reason we finished 5th last season. I hope everyone doesn't forgot the countless point blank saves he made ALL of last season and how he kept us in, and won us so many games.

Fact: Joe Hart is also a great keeper.

Fact: We cannot go wrong this season at the goalkeeper position.

So stop moaning about how Shay wants to leave and lets start looking forward to the days when Joe Hart is considered top 3 goalies in the world. Shay is 34 and is on the downside of his career. Look at it from his perspective. He is not going to get many more opportunities to play and make money so he needs to get as much football in now as he can! So get behind your club and thank Shay for his tremendous time here at city (I cant think of a better keeper for us in the past 10 years!). So bugger off everyone who is bad-mouthing him. He has a family to support and needs to be playing. Unfortunately he is on the same team as the best goalie in England.

So farewell Shay, best of luck to you...

FACT: CITY ARE GOING TO HAVE A WORLD CLASS GOALIE THIS SEASON EITHER WAY SO STOP BITCHING AND MOANING YOU SELF-RIGHTEOUS FUCKS!

Unfortunately the mind set of some fans is fookin awful - sometimes u cringe when i look at some posts from our so called fans on this site. Players will come and go as is the normal way of thinfs but the fookin bile and venom aimed at those players moving on make me feel somewhat uncomfortable.

I have to ask myself are these fans that are currently reflective of most City fans and i think they are not. Tevez apart Ireland and Bellamy seem to be very popular names on the back of fans replica shirts.

So its ok is it the minute your told you gonna have to fight for your place to want to go,and by the way risk fin our start to the season up? Jesus christ get a grip!!!!

To People who keep saying "Shay saved us in this game,Shay saved us in that game"If Joe was in net whats saying he would'nt have done just as well? Shay was our keeper last season and he did a great job,But that does not mean joe could'nt have done the same if not an even better job.

Joe Hart is our future and has to be our NUMBER 1.

It was always going to be a tough call for Mancini, and one I couldn't really decide on myself.

If push came to shove then I'd go Hart, as apparently Mancini has, because he's younger and can potentially be our keeper for the next 10 years or so.

It's a shame, because Given served us well, but someone was always going to be disappointed. And I imagine some on here will use it as a stick to beat Mancini with, but he was backed into a corner with both players threatening to leave if they weren't first choice.

Ah well. It's a nice position to be in.

Not sure of the logistics, but if we can let Given go on loan with the option to recall him should Hart get injured that would be ideal.

Doesn't actually say he has asked for a transfer (yet) , so maybe the lynch mob should hold fire..

Nah they are on a roll

Ned
Ireland
Bellamy
Given

and with Bridge and Barry next they set to continue with their bile for many months into the future.

How many of them signed their own death warrant with Cook and Khaldoon after their protests over Hughes sacking?

No one is going after Ireland. No one is slagging him off. Funny that ?

You know why ? He hasnt gone to the press. He hasnt destabalised the squad and club - not as far as the fans are aware anyway. Not heard a bad word said about him. Most city fans want him to stay gutted hes leaving.

Its down to attitude and respect for the fans at the end of the day. Players mouthing off in the press, demanding a move as they are not guranteed to start. Or the dont like the manager. Or the weather and climate (in Robinhos case)

Seems like a few people on here are out of touch with what the grass roots actually think IMO. As for names on shirts. When they got those shirts they didnt know the players were going to behave this way did they ?

How many of them signed their own death warrant with Cook and Khaldoon after their protests over Hughes sacking?

Exactly and quite rightly so. Its not a democracy at the end of the day thats not how football clubs work. The players are soldiers they do as they are told. The tail doesnt wag the dog.

Firstly you dont know fook all - its just a report in the press - the press that has been slating us for two years - secondly until he does its just guess work and thirdly if he does loose his spot as first choice in the team i can understand it more with a keeper than any other position - injuries are unlikely - Hart is as good as Given and the next Ebgland keeper 0 he is an academy player and you never chop and change keeper.

Hart has said the same so is Hart any different.

He is 34 and wants to play and realistically aint going to get much game time. I cannot think of another team that has two world class keepers in their team.
