Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

This morning 11c and it’s freezing in here still resisting any form of heat, but getting washed without heat is the hardest.
Roll on October 1st nearly there, then turn it on for essentials
dont wash and reap the benefits, just stink of stale piss, it creates gaps at the bar for you to stand, resturant tables become vacant, people disperse from the checkout que like rats up a drainpipe

You're lucky. We lived for three months in a rolled up newspaper in a septic tank. We used to hadta get up a'six in the morning, clean da newspaper, eat a crusta stale bread, go to work down the mill, for a 14 hour day, week in week out for 6 pence a month, and when we got home, our dad would thrash us to sleep with his belt

Chilly again , wrapped up warm , i am leaning towards heating one room in proper winter , gas central heating with just the bedroom and hall on , cant turn off the hall one as it has no controls , or plug in electric radiator on number two setting, just for the cold starts , not all day or at night

Which would be cheaper do you think ?
