Got in from work at 7.30pm and it ent straight on. Only low though.
It wasn't that cold really and could have managed without but I don't take chances.
Back in 2006, Xmas Eve, I was feeling fantastic after my third Xmas Eve party and my 15th bottle of Stella. Went home to bed and woke up in the early hours feeling crap. Called an ambulance for the first time in my life (in my forties) as my finger nails were going blue and apparently my lips and by lunchtime Xmas day I was on a ventilator in Macclesfield Intensive Care with severe pneumonia.
Came off it on 3rd January. Bizzare experience. Some of the weirdest psychedelic drugs you could ever think existed were pumped into my body for nearly 3 weeks. You wouldn't believe the hallucinations I had. Cheapest Xmas I have ever had. Couldn't believe my bank statement when it came in. My mates were brassed off as they weren't able to get hold of me and I had the tickets for 2 do's on Boxing Day and New Years day in my wallet.
As Shakespeare said in Richard III : "It was the best of times. It was the worst of times"
Not something I would care to replicate though and so I don't take chances anymore. Trust me guys. You are better of economising on the socials and even food before you cut down on the heating.
