Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Mrs is asian and lived here since 2007.
The other week when we had that mini heat wave, she was still cold.I was working through it all and it was awful.
We have had our electric blanket it on a few times before sleeping but not the heating yet.

If it’s diverter valve mate they’d all be off does sound like airlock sometimes if you turn all upstairs ones off it will force out to ground floor rads make sure you open TRVs fully if you have them then open upstairs ones and bleed highest radiator. Good luck
So I had one plumber who came and looked at it and he was literally looking on YouTube to find out what the problem was (absolutely clueless) but I’d paid for someone to come and sort it as I was eager to get it fixed asap, anyway I told him to just leave it and go, then got someone else round who was recommended and he identified what the problem was in about 5 minutes which turned out to be the pump (it has lasted pretty well though so can’t complain). All sorted now anyway

Me neither, and don't intend to any time soon.
Didn't feel out of place in my budgie smugglers when I went for my outdoor swim earlier either.
Going to make the move to jeans mid October, I'll be coming back from a week in Crete which will probably be a 10 degree drop added to coastal winds....I may feel a tad cool.

Brilliant mate all set for winter. :-)

Reading an article in one of todays supplements which recommends if you turn your thermostat lower than 18 degrees C this encourages our bodies to grow more ‘brown fat’, a form of tissue found around the chest and neck that burns energy to produce body heat, keeps your weight down and your energy bills………
enough for me to keep heating off this winter
