Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Just got in from 14hr shift and its nippy and too late to light the log stove so have reluctantly chucked the boiler on for an hour

Same here. Was working at home but was absolutely freezing when I logged off so put the heating on for an hour as well. Took the chill off nicely.

Went for a kip at 8, just come down and lo and behold my daughter had the heating on. It’s off now.

Nothing yet apart from a test to make sure it's working over at Fleetwood-by-the-sea.

Had the patio doors open most of the day and still in my shorts, only concession is wearing trainer socks.

No. It’s still warm. There’ve been a few fresh mornings but nothing worth putting the heating on for yet.

I’ve still only got the 4-tog duvet on my bed at the moment. Not felt the need for the 10.5-tog yet.

Yes, I always aim for that. Generally some point in October most years though.

Yes I've put the fire on low for a couple of hours twice this week just to take the chill off.

Hehe barefoot in the house.

Apparently it kicked in overnight as the system is set to auto so I've lowered the temperature for future days.

I have to be careful though as Mrs Moon due to her previous health condition is very susceptible to catching colds as her immune system is shite and they last forever with her so it's a bit of a balancing act.

30 degrees to 9 degrees in a week , got to love this country, lol , i have gone soft as i am up at dawn in the garden usually but this morning it was chilly so i said nah and stayed in bed, prefer the cold so i will get back to getting up and no heating
