Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Exactly! ;) they do cost something then
Indeed. It’ll be the central heating that is going to be the main cost for most. Gas is 3 times the price it was at Xmas lat year, give or take.

People will obviously cut down where they can wherever they can though.

The average 60-watt equivalent LED light bulbs uses about 0.01 kWh of electricity per hour it's on.

There are 8760 hours in a year.

With electricity at £0.33476 per kWh, it would cost £29.32 per year with it on constantly.

So, having it on for 6 hours per day would be £7.33 a year.
That’s a pint of Neck Oil in the Northern Quarter

wouldnt worry to much over lighting esp if you have the LED type, its the washer, dryer, oven, iron etc thats the problem
Got the old fashioned low energy light in the bedroom , leds in the hall and kitchen ,the bathroom one is linked to the extractor fan so i think that is not good to have on
