It's been disappointing overall but finishing second in the league, however distant, and winning a domestic trophy is above poor in my view.

Of course we have high expectations these days but we are a team that is or should be in transition.

Txiki needs to play a blinder now and Pep needs to have a long think oh his hols about what he should do differently. He needs to avoid becoming a dinosaur and evolve.

It's the distance & reasons behind our 2nd place & FA Cup/CL defeats which makes it a poor season for me.

If there were some kind of mitigating circumstances, where losing to teams like Norwich & Utd were completely understandable, then the 2nd place would be more impressive.

But it's almost all down to us, underperforming, albeit against against more clued up opposition now. If we'd drawn most of the games we lost, it wouldn't be so bad. But we actually got beat, by being played for suckers, by most of the average teams we've played & some shit ones.

If at the start of the Season we’d planned coming a poor 2nd in the league, exiting the FA Cup in the semis to a very average Arsenal. 9 defeats , lost derbies , failure in the Champions KO stages again but beating Villa in the league cup I suspect we’d have fell about laughing.

Yeah but we used to be really shit like so it’s all good:-)

Liverpool didn't end the season too well(including a 4-0 defeat against our lot) despite the amount of noise coming out from both the club and media. They are good but not that good

If the rags win the europa cup have they had a better season than us ?

Candlepool and arse have both had better seasons than us so yes the rags will have but hopefully they get smashed 3 0 in the final to Inter with diver, Sanchez and the wardrobe getting the goals:-)

Owners have invested so much not compare with pre takeover periods. They will compare with last year and we have been poor and season has been big failure. Arsenal Pool and Rags winning EL will have had better seasons

It... certainly went downhill quickly. When it became clear the League was lost, retaining the FA Cup was one of the minimal targets. Performances have been lacklustre and devoid of any enthusiasm this season but what's worse is that its affected the optimism and having Blues questioning the future.

That for me has been the most shameful outcome, even despite the victory of the CAS ruling.

It’s all relative. In 2010/11 we finished 3rd and won the FA Cup. That was a much better season than this because we were on an upward trajectory to get there.

For this current team winning the league cup, finishing 2nd in the league and cup QFs/SFs is a massive step backwards. Not only in terms of trophies but more so in the standard of our play.
