Off the pitch - completely

His transfers and interviews are spot on

On the pitch - not so much

We have played some lovely football at times, and scoring isnt a problem. But he seems to lack the ability to change the game with subs and appears to have no plan B. Admittedly we didnt have great subs last year, so maybe this could change

This with the caveat that he should forget about Lescott and look elsewhere.

Totally and utterly pissed me right off last season so the answer has to be a definitive 'No'

And he has not bought in any player that any other manager could not have bought in given the riches at his disposal.

But, i actually do like him as a bloke. Like the way he holds himself in public, has a fair bit of class and if he can turn around last seasons 'shitness' then he become a true ambassador of and for the club.

So from me he gets another chance to prove me wrong going into the season.

So Mr Hughes...........'what ya got'?

He has impressed me from day one.

Same here! Those that know our club, will know that there was (and still is) a hell of a lot of work to do, the set up before was very amateur in every way, he has come in and made some big changes, and some people do not (or did not) like it.

I am also impressed with the way he handles himself with the press, very dignified and professional.

I beleive that given time we have the makings of a real legend

I have seen what the managerial merry go round has done to this club (and others) in many cases it's not the manager who needs to change but the culture of the club

Exactly well put

Common sense alert!

Oh fuck! The board's gonna crash!

He's impressed me with the handling of the media but he's didn't impress me last season much when it mattered but i'm hopeful that will change this season and i'm right behind him

Over the last few weeks i have been Quitely impressed with the way Mark has handled a number of situations . He comes across verry self assured . He will have some major egos to handle over the comeing months .WE need a good start so the Press will get of his back . I am sure that even the Fans (like me ) who wanted him out last season will get right behind him & see what happens . &hopefully everything will turn out great

I argree,i was just thinking today he has done very well with all the hype this week, long may it continue. The press will be waiting in ambush if everything go's tits up,but we will just have to hold our nerve,WE ARE CITY !

Off the field and his buys yes, greatly. Apart from TBH cant think of any players who have dissapointed and The money spent on Given, Kompany, Zabaletta look great deals.

Also like how he comes across in interviews and rises above the bait to get into slanging matches by responding to the likes of Fergusons rants. Comes across as so professional.

The only criticism i have of him is we dont seem to have many coaches at the club. The 1 thing i thought a Mark Hughes team would be is good at set peices at both ends. This isnt just Hughes, we have been awful at them for 10 years but i still seee no improvement on them after 1 year.

Definatly deserved to be given this season though and glad our owners are giving him time. If he fails now with the riches we have spent and them team is more or less his now, then he cant blame anyone else.
