Has Robinho walked out? (Merged)

City need to release a statement about Robinho very soon. They owe it to the fans who are seemingly watching the club fall to pieces this morning.

I don't want any general crap - a specific 'Robinho has fallen out with Hughes over....' is the sort of detail we need.

Only City could blow the Kaka deal and sign Bellamy on the same day.

Robinho says he will not leave Manchester City despite the poor results this season.

”It's not in my mind to leave the club. When I go on to the pitch I carry the club's shirt in my heart. I want to repay everyone for making me so welcome. Fans have not seen the best of me yet.”

'It's a good team, but it's not a great team. If we were a great team then we would be at the top of the league and not in the middle. But I feel we are progressing.”

”There is a question of consistency, which has not been good enough this season. We need to get a run of victories and there are good players here.”

Manchester City on Saturday play away against Portsmouth in the Premier League

this article was only poasted on the 9 jan, so it seems like his head is in it for the long run......would understand he was upset by the kaka thing..........but would more likely be another 'incident'......birthday etc

Robinho is a galacticos - Hughes can't deal with him.

We either get behind Hughes and get used to a battling team with good proven premiership players in it, or we call for his sacking, hope someone like Mourinho or Hiddink is appointed and get the likes of David Villa, Kaka etc.

Who's to say which option would be more successful. A team full of galacticos brings its own unique problems.

I agree. However Jose has not history of managing galacticos imho, chelsea had none of any real note and look at Adriano at Inter....

The BBC certainly reported that on 5Live this morning.

its being reported that its something to do with robbies 25th birthday...he was told that he could have time off to fly back to brazil to celebrate his 25th with his family.....however, the club told him he had to attend the spanish training camp

I would treat the birthday story with extreme caution.

It's simple really. Players can have an opinion, but the manager has the final say on team matters. If it's because his mate shit out of the deal to come then it's a shame for him but he's a grown man ffs get over it, your mate didn't want to come and it was a long shot from the start, we all knew this.

If Robinho thinks we're not moving forward fast enough, he's partly to blame along with the rest of the players. If we were higher up the table and still in the FA cup, played well week in week out, the club wouldn't be such a hard sell to the top players. We got a decent side, it needs strengthening in obvious areas, but since ADUG took over we've had 3 weeks to sign players, that's all, 3 weeks. If Robinho thinks we should have done more in those 3 weeks maybe he should elaborate. Maybe we shouldn't have wasted so much time on Kaka and, in the summer, pre ADUG, Ronaldinho. Summer will be mind blowing IMO with more time to negotiate and less panicking about rushing people in before the window closes. If he can't wait until then, he should go and find a club who want him and can afford him.

Toe the line or move on son.

ps.Really hope he toes the line and this is all a storm in a tea cup.

If it comes down to a battle between Hughes and Robinho I can only see one winner, and thats Robinho.

Don't like player power and in the future we won't be so reliant on any one player, but it's just a consequence of where we are at as a club currently.

Hopefully it's all a storm in a teacup though, he'll return to camp, apologise and we all get on with our lives.

I'm not sure Robbie will win if it's a straight battle between him and Hughes...

Agree with everything else you've written there...
