Sorry if it's already been posted but this has just appeared on his own website

According to Robinho there's no rift between him and the club.

According to sources close to Robinho, he's very happy at Manchester City. He believes in the club´s project, on its promises and proposals and has no intention of leaving his new home. There has been a lack of communication somewhere, but nothing has changed.

Since last week Robinho had asked for the club´s permission to travel, in order to solve some family problems. Therefore, after training at Tenerife on Monday he left for Brazil, with his wife and baby and will be back in a short few days.

He will for sure be playing on Wednesday against Newcastle and, as usual, will give his all to help the club to achieve victory. He is very motivated and says he wants to be the league´s top scorer. Therefore, while in Brazil with the family, he will be excersing and keeping fit for the upcoming match.

Robinho was cheering for Kaka and hopes that the club will soon find a replacement as high level as Kaka is.

Robinho has revealed to BBC Sport his reasons for leaving Manchester City's training camp in Tenerife.

The Brazilian midfielder stunned team-mates and staff with his departure on Monday but has claimed his absence had been pre-arranged with the club.

"I had made Manchester City aware that I needed to return to Brazil because of a family matter," Robinho said.

"I will return to the club and hope to sort out this matter as soon as possible," added the 24-year-old.

I would treat the birthday story with extreme caution.

Apparently his gran has died... no not that one the other one...... no not her either.... it's his OTHER gran.

I was right!

Fair enough IMO. Family ALWAYS comes first.

I guess Robinho is very close to his family, with his mother(i think) being held hostage a few years ago etc.

I've not gone to work 2day because my 4 year old son is poorly.fuck work.family comes first as you say

Just been on SSN Robbie saying he's fine at the club it was just a lack of miscommunication and he had family problems to sort out. And that he will be back giving it all for the Newcastle game.

Of his official site looking for link now.

fuck sake...SSN! everything else is breaking news:
"wayne rooney drops toast butter side down"
"kaka says NO to man city"
"robinho walks out"
but when they get wind of reports that robinho has NOT had a rift, it gets a 'just in' mention and then onto the rags v derby tonight. guess they realised the story of the day for them just went tits up..wankers
