Up and down the various Football Leagues, more times than a pole dancers thighs.

Do pole dancers thighs go up and various football leagues.

When i was thirty i thought i was old but now i am forty i think thirty is young.
So there you have it at thirty your too old to be twenty and too young to be forty. Hope that clears it up for you.

I don't hear much moaning at the match, it's mainly on here you get it.

I think the humour is still there it's just a lot more people expect to win every week now rather than not having a clue what was going to happen at a match
hoping for that bit brief appearrance of magic that kept your heart warm just when it was fading.
until they had been playing for five minutes and you realised nothing had changed from last week.

Camelface is a real 'presence' - but look out for the introduction of 'Raul' and Brian Giggs!!!! - bet he fely like twatting the bloke

Hahahahahaha!! Class that is!

im only 20... but i still see going to craven cottage and goodison park as a good point if we get a draw we are still city and we are a gormless bunch of beans at the best times, but i do agree i hate standing around the ground knowing that people think now we have loadsa money teams should lay down and die and let us walk all over them... i still hold the same mentallity that we are city and we can b@lls up even the simplist oppertunity... its more fun that way especially when the rags complain about us not winning every game and getting a cheaky draw here and there... but i do agree years ago under pearce etc getting a win on a saturday afternoon would be the best feeling ever as they came few and far between, but i do feel that in the years to come the more success that comes the more people will expect...

i wait and hope we still keep on people as sarcastic and fun as we alwways have been, other teams fans used to love our sence of humour as all we used to do is critisise and take the mick outta ourselfs... long may it continue.

i do hope we win things though, but also keep our history and the way we are

The people I only ever really see moaning at the games are older blokes (50+) and birds to be honest. I don't want to generalise either catagory because they aren't all the same, obviously, but they are the two worst.

I think out support was better all round back in the 90's. More variety of songs, songs, more tavelling to away games, more younger lads, younger average age of fans...

These days I think there's a shortage of young lads supporting City.

Disagree 100% with that...loads of young lads follow City everywhere.

I do agree that our away support has declined.
I look at other away supports (I can't include the European fans because 95% of all that have come to our ground have been 20-35 years old, there is very very rarely older blokes with them) from other clubs (United, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, Sunderland etc) all seem to have more younger lads in attendance than we do at away games.

We've definitely got an ageing support. United's success, and our failure, has come in an era where kids choose teams to watch on the telly. This is the era of the armchair gloryhunter.

In the 70s and 80s the majority of kids in Manchester were blues. For the last 20 years or so United have the lion's share without a doubt.

I'd say it's the "older" fans that have lost the fun. Any result less than a victory (by a clear margin) and they can't get on here fast enough to complain.
Oi
Older fans still have fun!

-- Tue Oct 11, 2011 4:36 pm --

Ironic really
All those saying it's the oldies doing the moaning, more fun when we took the piss out of ourselves in the 90s, it must be the oldies who were doing it as the youngsters were either on the potty or not born

My Dad went to the same school I did, but 25 years before me. He says when he was there it was easily 65:35 in favour of City. When I was there it was easily 70:15 to United with 15% not liking footy. I went to school in the 90's and there were kids who might not have a proper allegiance and they all became Rags, there were kids who didn't really like footy but all followed the crowd and became Rags, there were even kids from full City supporting families who chose to support the Rags. I knew every City fan in my whole year and we all went to the games. My group of mates I now go to City with were all the City fans from the two years below mine, my year and two years above me. The rest of the school were Rags!

When you look at other clubs they all have more younger lads in attendance than we do, I think it's quite noticable! Newcastle Sunderland Leeds are all one team cities; Liverpool Rags Villa are all the biggest teams in their cities; London is that big all the big clubs have huge supports; even second clubs in towns like Everton have had success in them years where we didn't so they capture fans too.

I'm not saying we don't have younger fellas supporting us because we do, just not that many. I'd say grey heads, bald heads, women and kids are in abundance for us compared to other clubs. When United Liverpool and Everton come to our place I only see the odd bird or kid in their end, yet there are LOADS when we go away.
