Have you all turned on Hughes?

And I believe Hughes will improve City every season he's here.

Fair enough, he's struck out at the first attempt for me though (presuming we don't win our next 6 in the league).

Moyes has had awful starts to seasons and still kept his job in the past and they finished 4th from bottom just one year and qualifying for Europe. At our place he would have been executed for that.

He took a side that was perennial relegation strugglers to a side that is a regular top 6. With a fraction of the resources Hughes has had. He has the runs on the board, he has shown he can improve a team. Thats why when he had his bad year, he kept his job.

David Moyes and Martin O'Neil would all have been forced out at our place. It's shocking what we've become.

Bollocks they would have been. Moyes saved Everton from relegation after taking over, and took them to 5th in his first full year. Had plenty of runs on the board when he had his one bad season at Everton. O'Neill has improved Villa every year he's been there.

It's just fantasy to suggest that either would be forced out if they performed the same, and if Hughes showed half of what either did in their first season (with a fraction of the resources Hughes has had) there would be no suggestion of him being forced out either.

You can't stand the truth can you Moomba. Its a fact that the way both those teams play football, our fans would have been calling for their heads. Also Villa have now just won 2 of their last 10 games I believe. Are you seriously telling me City fans wouldn't be asking for him to be sacked?

Apart from Ferguson, what British manager managing has won anything until Redknapp last year.
pretty clear that we need to look abroad then

Spuds have done that on a few occasions and I bet have spent close to 250 million in the last 3 years with limited success. Strangely enough the best one they had was Jol and they sacked him.

But Jol IMPROVED the Spuds team - I don't see any improvement. In fact we were better at the beginning of the season, slightly.

We where rubbish a the start of the season and have improved greatly since then. If we hadn't we would be in th bottom 3, so please don't be ridiculous.
we actually won home and away at the start of the season

As a player league, domestic and european cups.

Finished in the top ten in his 3 seasons at Blackburn, better than both MON and Moyes, also took them to 3 semis. Oh I forgot we are a much more successful club than them!

Souness got Blackburn to the top 10 3 times also. He actually won something with them too. Now, I'm sure we'd all agree Souness is a shite manager & we wouldn't want him at City, so why is it different with Hughes?

Personally I don't think Souness is a shite manager, just maybe short of the very best, like Redknapp, Moyes and MON. Also he had a lot more resources than Hughes.

The fact is we haven't a clue at what is going on behind the scenes, and can only comment on what we see on the pitch. Now I am not going to try and defend the perfromances over the last week because they have been poor. However, I believe he can and will turn things round next season.
I wish I had your confidence - personally I am beginning to think that Linda Lusardi would do a better job than Hughes.

I suppose she has a couple of reasons better than Hughes that would keep the players interested.

Yes I am. You really should learn the difference between fact, and your opinion too.

The thing is football clubs are just like people. We all think we're unique but in the bigger picture we're all just the same.

I was speaking to a Villa fan and he says it's exactly the same at their place as it is here.

Fans constantly moaning, booing off the team after losing despite being in 4th position, people slagging off O'Neil and saying he's not the right man for the job etc

Now, we're in a very very lucky position of having financial security when the rest of the world is falling on its arse. If we were spending money we didn't have and buying crap players then I'd be a lot more pissed off at the club but the bottom line is that there is no rush. In 5 years time we're going to be a top top team no matter what. That thought is what stops me from going crazy when all this shit is going on. I don't think we have a devine right to be a great team just because we've spent loads of money, football at this level is about much more than that. It's about stability, it's about a bond between the fan and the players and it's about giving someone time to do this huge job. And by my watch giving a manager time isn't giving him 10 months, it's about giving him a couple of years at least.

If we're where we are now next season then I would say that Mark Hughes might not be the man for the job. But I honestly believe that we'll be a decent side next season, home and away. There's a magic countdown clock that's been running since 1976, it doesn't have many digits left on it. Be patient because it will be worth it in the end!

The Everton fans where still shouting for him to be sacked. Maybe the fans aren't the best judges fter all.

16 points from a possible 33 in the league this year isn't that much of an improvement is it?

Why? Its a fact both teams play an ariel game and rely on set pieces to score most of there goals.

So MON has a worse record in the Prem than Hughes in the last 10 games and you say you wouldn't want him sacked, but want Hughes sacked. I think that just goes to show its the rag thing with you.
